jet air hiss / whistle

jet air hiss / whistle
I installed a CAI and I have a distinct high pitch whistle / hiss that I noticed before, but is now more noticable. I looked it up and found that it may be the jet air fuel mixer that may be obstructed. I pulled the tube off the intake and put my thumb over it. The whistle stops, but comes back when I let my thumb off the openning. So it's definitely the jet air nozzle, but what do I do about it? Does anyone know how to service this?????

correct, but I noticed it long before installing the CAI, just now I know what it is. There wasn't a sound out of it for 4 years, now theres a sound. They have techs diagnose and resolve these issues, but how can I?

I fixed the whistle! If the vacuum hose from the intake is getting too much air, the noise is very audible. Plugging up the line makes the noise go away, but there is a slight loss of power. I just slightly restricted the air flow enough to almost completely eliminate the noise, and the power came back. So keep in mind that the stock airbox keeps the vacuum pressure just right and if you put on a cold air intake you have to restrict the air flow to the jet air vacuum hose to avoid getting a whistle/ hiss at idle.... Still trying to figure out the squeel it makes upon accelleration... Anyone know what that one is????

NO!
That is the jet air bleed. Do NOT restrict it.
It is quieter in stock form because of the nature of the intake.

I fixed that one easily. I dump a bunch of bleach on my tires.
No squeealing but sure smokes alot.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Like the potato one... But anyways, don't think I'm an idiot... The system makes noise, but Mazda tuned the system to perform optimally with the amount of air it gets in the stock setup (talking about the vacuum tube, not the intake) When the intake was stock, there were small elbow shaped inserts connecting the tube to the intake. After istalling the CAI, the tube connected directly to the intake, thus giving the vacuum more air and causing a louder whistle. To fix it, I modified one of the elbows to fit in the new intake. The original vacuum pressure is restored, and the noise is completely unnoticable.
