Flywheel

Will the lightweight zoom flywheel from my 1.3l rx-7 fit on my rx-8?

probably will (not 100% sure) but you will definately need the RX8 counterbalance

Do a search. Only certain year models will work from what I read.

It should since it's a 240mm fly. Add a counterweight and you're good.

I was searching the internet for help also and the sites i found it on say to use the original mazda hardware. So do i need to purchase a new counterweight for it? and if so do you have any sites where it would be best to buy from?

The counterweight is the factory one used in the rx7 automatic.

You can usually find it on ebay for a bit cheaper, maybe $120, if you want to deal with ebay.

But I bought mine from

and I havent had a problem at all, fit perfectly.

If you're not sure you can call racingbeat and they can tell you. I believe their flywheel for the RX8 is the same as the one they sell for the 1993-1995 FD RX7. They're always open to answer questions for rotary enthusiasts.
