I expect my motor to have some sort of problems, cuz from time to time it stalls at red lights/stop signs. and if I unplug my battery and reconnect, the car wont idle for at least 5-10 drive cycles.

Thats why I paid to get a compression test done, the numbers were a bit low but still within spec.

Just didnt expect the compression goes down so fast in just about 1/2 year later.

New motor is working fine, which is good. Im premixing all the way + heavier oil

isn't it too thick? i'm using 10w40 and our temperatures should be pretty similar!

Nope.

When it comes to engine internal clearance and material, there is nothing really that special In the 13B-MSP, yes its a little tighter, but 20w50 will work just fine. its better for all the bearings.

Maybe you're right, especially for hot temps. There's not much difference between a w40 and a w50 grade oil though so i'd rather stick with some easier cold start-up protection
