Most people on here don't consider that if you have this much bypass coming out of your crankcase and back into the intake that this is unmeasured volume not seen by the MAF. It typically won't have much oxygen content, but it is displacing air with oxygen content and likely is the cause of many idle issues ...
it also causes heavy fuel dilution and oxidation of the engine oil. A catch can or vent won't fix that problem.

In the winter months I end up with my cheapo 2 pint ebay can half filled with ganky water so go figure.
