The customer service was good but the end result was unsatisfactory and I had to pay another shop to make things right.

I will be installing one of their low mount kits soon though and it looks promising but we shall see how it pans out. As for the top mount kits, I have yet to see any info on an RX-8 that has ran it successfully and reliably for any decent amount of time.
Jetset8 here was successfully running one over 2 years ago, and I have several more I can name.
09Factor here has been running out kit for over 2.5 years without ANY problems. I have several other customers in the same boat, most of my customers don't like this forum. You really are blowing WAY out of proportion what happened between us and you. I can get 50+ guys here if I really wanted to say they have had the best experience with of us than any other shop ever. Here are few below that I did extensive work for, not just sold parts.

After talking for a bit, we agreed that he would build it for me. I needed one that would sit directly out from the exhaust ports as the stock turbo does and I planned to run twin 44mm Tials.

Initially, he told me that it would take a while since they were busy but I was ok with that. A few weeks later he messaged me to let me know that he would be starting and it would be ready in a week or so. Good deal. In less than I week he let me know that it was ready to be shipped out. There was a mistake made (38mm flanges were used instead of the 44mms), but he caught it before shipping and said it would be corrected and shipped the next day.

That night he let me know that 44mm flanges were backordered for at least 2 weeks. Crap... I told him I understood and to proceed. Elliot then managed the impossible. In just a couple of days he managed to source the correct flanges, get everything welded up, and shipped. I was amazed and ecstatic.

A few days later I had my package. When I opened it up, I was blown away by the manifold. The welds were gorgeous and, while my request allowed for a simple design, it was just what I wanted.

In short, I have nothing but good to say about Elliot and Turblown. I am at work right now but will try to get pics of it up tonight.

I have gotten an awesome turbo (GT35R stage V), custom made SS manifold for a 12a, custom made DP for a 12a, Wastegate, and some other things that he threw in with it. Everyhthing is top quality and I am very pleased. Elliot has even answered cell phone calls on random stupid questions and always seems to have the right answer. I'm really suprised Elliot from Turblown even had to come on here and explain himself this far. Elliots builds go way above what most mistake builds are distracting the forum at this time. Hopefully in time we can see more new development beyond your basic greddy bolt on turbo build gone wrong. Only way to see more development is to support the talent the comes our way.

So, i have decided i will look into getting the transmission looked at first before i decide to ship my car off for a motor rebuild. Since the car shuts off whenever i try to put it in gear i think that's where i need to start. Looking like maybe a Level 10 rebuilt trans.

Just saw this. Sorry Nuke but I have to respond.

You can get 50 + guys? I personally know three of your customers aside from myself that have had lackluster experiences with you and received half-assed fabricated parts. You need to get off your high horse and fix the crap you have produced thus far. So far both of the two low mounts kits you have shipped have come with poorly fabricated critical components and neither are installed or working because of your shitty quality work. Not to mention that you contradict yourself as to how many of these low mount "kits" are actually running around.

These are both supposed to be drivers side engine mount brackets. Impressive work huh?

Example 1:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/7825271988/http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/7825271506/http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/7825271284/

Example 2:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/7704397544/http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/7704409738/

Now as to our transaction.

I'm blowing it out of proportion? I sent you my basically new, already upgraded turbo (machine work done, upgraded CHRA already new) to be rebuilt, upgraded (different Comp compressor wheel), and to have hard lines installed for the water cooled section of the turbo.

I mailed my turbo to you in Minnesota and was given a few week turn around time frame. Two months later I got my turbo back from Comp Turbo (in California), not you. The rebuild was done and the compressor wheel was installed and Comp seems to have done a great job. However, my hard lines were never done, you never told me the work was going to be outsourced, the work was not completed as agreed, the turbo was sent back to me without you ever seeing it after it was worked on, and you blew the time frame by a month, causing me to miss an important event (which you knew about).

So basically I paid Turblown over $800.00 to have my turbo rebuilt and to have a compressor wheel installed by Comp Turbo. I could have gotten all that done locally for far less. Lesson learned.

I'm sorry if I expect a certain level of service when I spend a good amount of money on that service. So go ahead and keep talking about how bad *** you are.

Well, no progress so far on getting the car back running. I do have some parts piling up for it though. Powertrix coilovers, new front splash shields, and new Toyo T1R 265/35/18 tires. I've also ordered an Innovate A/F gauge and some new lug keys for my wheel locks so i can finally take my wheels off again. Once i can get my tires swapped out it will be much easier for someone to be able to work on my car.

Have not read the whole thread but ..... Maybe if you start over with where you are at I might be able to help .

Is engine still blown ?
Does it idle fine ?
Is compression good ?

If all above is good and it stalls when you put it into drive then it could be your neutral switch .

Motor was rebuilt with new Esmeril apex seals and pineapple HD water seals.
Idle is really smooth but possibly a little rich.
When i rev the engine and let the RPM fall by itself it will keep dropping and then stall out.
It will also stall out if it is placed in anything but park.
Whenever it stalls it gets flooded.
Oil leak near the front of the motor, cannot tell exactly from where. found a loose bolt on the front cover plate though.
My Cobb AP screen will not come on so i cannot read or clear any codes.

It is possible that with the new seals on old housings that the compression is not great . Mine got better the more i drove it . Suggest you try get the idle speed increased via the AP then just drive it around and get some miles on it . PM me if you need help with that.

The screen just stays black. I think i can send it to Cobb to get fixed. I don't remember what tune it has on it now. Last i knew it had my last turbo tune before it blew but it might have gotten changed after the rebuild.

I have no direct experience with the AT, but a few people have reported not being able to adjust the idle successfully on them with the AP.
