The Turblown Low Mount Turbo System
and NO i'm not talking about anyone with fitment/QC issues who has posted in this thread.
the first 3 of us (me, Jetst8, and the guy with t40AE from CO.) never had issues like this, top mount or not.
no doubt. something else is going on in the background we don't know about.

And the funny thing is now Scott offers what appears to be one deadly kit; with minimal issues according to Gregs updates so far.... I'd really love for either an upgrade or replacement low mount kit that can reliably hit ~350+ whp; so far I still havent found what I'm looking for
... but I am following gregs thread intently

/\ to be fair - what Greg fitted was not a full kit . More like a (major) an upgrade to the Greddy kit . Plus Greg is what I would call an expert installer . These two things made a huge difference to how well the install went .
That is a very misleading comment in what actually happenned....you might want to have another look at that
I think Gregs kit was modified so he could re-use some of his old charge tubes.......Scott's kit is not an upgraded Greddy kit in any way....
And you will not have to be an expert installer to put it in...it bolts up with minimal to no alterations to a stock car
Put it this way - Greg already had a turbo fitted . He took the turbo manifold and downpipe out out and replaced those components. The rest was already there . To say what he fitted is Scotts' kit is not really correct.
I have talked with Scott a little bit via email and from what he has said it should not be very difficult to replace the greddy kit with his as it follows the same piping route.... considering I installed the greddy with minimal difficulty and on my own from my back in my garage; I'm thinking it should be no problem to fit up a kit like that..... in any case, I am not financially ready to pull the trigger on a new kit at the moment anyway.
haha and maybe by that time the ole Brettspeed tuning services will be willing to take on another customer
Hi I'm Turblown, send me your money and I'll stall you, send you a half assed turbo kit, make excuses about my shitty workmanship, and then eventually just stop responding to you. Let's see how many more excuses my other buddy will get and how much longer he will have to wait. It has only been 7 months or so.
Bump for newbs so they are aware of scumbags who don't make good on what they owe their customers. There are three RX8 club members who are being screwed in on way or another by this hack.
I will try and answer all comments, I just quickly read through all the comments as I haven't been on the forums since I last posted.
Slash tried to pull a fast one on us. Yes you're right we took a long time to fix your stuff the 2nd time around, but we did fix everything. Right as we were about to ship the parts back he did a charge-back. He was not succesfull with the charges backs either. He tried another one for a small portion, and I said I would not ship anything back until he signed a consent form. I even still I sent him photos of everything fixed. I even went above and beyond to ensure there was no possible way I would hear from him again. Never heard from him again. He got in way over his head, and blamed it on us.
P.S. I paid for all the return freight on the fixes for his stuff.
Last time I heard from Hoss was Sept 20th, and I made suggestions for the problem, which I said I would fix. I was only aware of 1 problem; engine motor mount bracket. It makes sense if this was to bend it would hit the intake and distort the turbo vband connection. The fix is pretty simple, and I have attached a photo. I need to be contacted in order to make fixes.
I have been asked for 3/4 years now to make a low mount kit, there is a reason I resisted, its not an easy task. Pretty easy for some of you guys to sit back and knit pick things when you have NO idea what it takes to build this stuff. The turbo kit was designed for optimum performance, not optimum fitment.
I am now in the middle of trying to get cast low mount manifolds done, performance will suffer, but fitment should be perfect.

Oh so you refunded him the money you owe him then?
That makes no sense at all, if it doesn't f@#king fit then how the hell will it perform well? And that version 3.0 mount looks craptastic as usual. Keep up the good work.
