Well he only got $2500.00 back so I'm guessing he is still owed something considering the kit is $6,000.00 +.

I still might look at something down the road, but for now I just got the money back so I am not anxious to run out and spend it again

Heck yeah. The sad part is that some other sucker will probably end up with his old kit and be told it's the latest version with several improvements.

I think he was wondering if this translated over to the other products they offer that aren't for the RX-8

Thats what I was figuring... I imagine their products that they have jigs setup for and can produce in a weekend are solid.

Thank you. I appreciate the support Team and 9k. Honestly I hope the best for others that have found themselves in a bad transaction. I posted my experience to hopefully help others avoid the same problems I had. Though I have def learned thru this that research should not be taken lightly.

Yea sorry I was wondering about the other products offered since there's rx7 and even evo stuff on his site for sale. Was curious if the kits for the rx8 were an isolated thing.

LOL I'm just a realist, I dunno if you have ever been in a shop before....

I'll fill you in if you haven't.

You use the jig (Jig (tool) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) to basically remove all the guesswork and measuring. Generally they have interns working the jigs so the fabricators can work on the one off custom items.

So with that in mind if there is a manifold they have produced 30-50 of you can pretty much guarantee that it will fit and function. On the other hand a manifold they made one of most likely will be a pile of ****. This is of course until they can perfect it and make a jig for it.

Some things that factor into fitment issues are vehicle specific. Car frames get tweaked, mounts sag, etc etc. So the test vehicle might very well be off by a half inch causing fitment issues in other cars. The best thing a shop can do is get several cars and fit the product on the car. Take the variations in fitment and average them out and viola you end up with a product that fits.

I'm not trying to make up excuses here at all. I am just laying it out for people who have no clue about how these things work.

Now turdblown screwed up and lied almost every step of the way, Elliot is over-confident in his product and has nothing to back it with.

You should have, they are almost as bad. Turblown has pretty much disappeared from her but he is still posting BS on facebook trying to make it appear as if they are a stand up business to deal with.

And apparently working with Dave Pratt from Modified magazine in some way on his RX-8 build which is pretty disappointing considering the magazine has made it clear they are all about supporting the industry yet now they are going to work with someone who is dishonest and owes people money.

Companies like this hurt the industry far more than they help it.

I have talked with Dave a bit about this on the side. He is ordering simple parts they are not working togather or doing a FI build.

We are going to be in another Modified Magazine feature! This time around we will be helping with an Rx-8 build.
Is he sure Turdblown knows that?

Has anyone called them out on Facebook? I frequently see them posting their "RX-8" upgrades. I wouldn't be surprised if they delete any negative comments towards them on any social network.
