I seemed to be pretty decent at going around turns, too, as recent as last week.

I've finally read this entire thread. It took me about 4 hours total (with bathroom breaks, etc...).
Anyway, I've learned 2 things:
1. I want FI
2. There are several members on this forum that act like children.

I'm also a member of a Honda CBR forum, and I've NEVER seen anyone over there fight like you people do.

Well statistically the lifespan of the members of a CBR forum can be caluclated by the number of posts they make...the higher the number, the lower the lifespan...

So, basically...they do not survive long enough to bicker...

heh

This thread is probably not a good place to establish your idea of how the RX-8 FI community communicates.
There is substantially more superstition than supercharging in here.

All BeatRush parts were bolt-on. No need to cut/bend/weld/drill/etc. No leftover OEM parts either.

The BeatRush Aluminum Under Panel has a small opening towards the front and three slots/cuts just under the oil pan location. I drove the car this morning to work and I did not notice any changes in temperatures. I’m running a digital engine temperature gauge and it is easier (for me) to keep track on the engine temps.

So -you are monitoring the engine bay temps?
That is the area am curious about.i didnt think the engine temp itself would change-just the engine bay. But it may not--it conceivability could get better. Really interested in the trans brace.
Thanks for sharing all this!

Juan,

You need to resize your pics to about 8x10 before you attach them as a thumbnail(via your own drive), cause when you click on them, they just open up at the same size.........Just for your information.

Yes, sir. I made the correction, added more pixs and promise that it will not happen again. Ever!

Hooked on Meth Part II

I decided that if one methanol nozzle feels good……then two should better. Ahhhhh…

Seriously, I added an additional meth nozzle to the upper intake (past the SC) for a double shot. The first nozzle is a 225 ml/min and the second is 100 ml/min. Both nozzle spray at the same time. Took the car for a short trip and did not notice anything wrong. I will be doing another dyno soon and with this setup I will be able to change nozzles location/meth before SC only/meth after SC only/simultaneous meth spray. Only a dyno will show the best combination or nozzle location. I hope.

Stay tune.

Much better....and damn, I wanna see how you can get on the dyno!

Hey, I may have missed it somewhere in all this madness, but who made you strut bracket on that side that goes to the master cylinder? I'm assuming you made it?

Shinka is right. It is a Mazdaspeed strut tower brace but slightly modified in order to accommodate the Pettit SC intake.

Yes, I know, but I have the bar, so what was the mod? I'm trying to see what all I have to deal with as I move closer to pulling the trigger on getting the SC. I know that's the least of my worries, but I knew it was modded and wasn't sure if it was a whole new bracket on that side, or some minor mod?

Thanks in advance

Get a couple of longer bolts and spacers. Then set the carbon fiber bar in front of the brackets.
