So the way the turner got around the idle air bleed problem was to jack the idle up over 1k?

You are satisfied by this?

Judging by how the sentence was punctuated, it's pretty obvious that he is. What solution do you propose since you like to pretend to know more than Cam and Bill?

Well, the right way to do it is to address the bypass valve and the throttle body duty cycle, which should be especially easy if they are flashing the PCM.
You don't find it interesting that the OEMs that use this blower don't have 1k+ RPM idles (a value that will fail it during an emission test in most states, btw)?

I know you meant that as an insult, but for obvious reasons, it is not.
Good to see the new year leaves you just as belligerent and servile as the preceding.

Nah, no insult (unless you felt insulted?). Just pointing out that yet again (for the same exact issue) you pointed and criticized, without being constructive.

If you want to be constructive, give Cam a call and let him know your thoughts. I'm sure he would love to hear from you.

Historically, one of the fixes for a ported rotary was a substantial increase in idle speed.
The problem is your fuel consumption/HC output goes way up with that extra 300 RPM and I, like many others, would rather see the car behave like stock - especially when it isn't actually ported.

I am not going to personally benefit from that, so why would I tell Cam how to fix these things? My gain lies in pointing out these flaws and then fixing them myself.
Cam always adopts my fixes after he gets wind of them, anyway.

Then wouldn't it personally benefit you to just STFU? That way you can continue to add to the mountains of cash you've made off of fixing all those Pettit SC customers' cars, right?

I'm sure he'd very grateful if he knew that these fixes came from you, but I don't think he even knows you're alive.

No. No mountains of cash. Just a steady trickle of accolades.
I don't do things for the money. I'm retired.

I won't discount that they get filtered through Moon or someone similar (if there is such a thing), but where do you think the entire MAF solution came from?

Ahh, then I need to work on my reading comprehension:

I'm making a small fortune on them. If they suddenly got their act together, I wouldn't be in such a position.
Just think about that before you fly off the handle again.

That's why I go back in the archives from time to time and delete my own posts. Clean out the nonsense every now and then. Of course, I know what you guys are thinking..........

Well, since I've been spending my time pointing out what needs to be done and how and you spend a majority of your time trying to swing your ***** over your shoulder, I think it is safe to say that your stack is considerably bigger, seeing how such swinging gives you better access to your anus.

20 mpg is good news. I'm currently getting @14 using the interceptor. I'm waiting for Cam to get the new MAF housings in before getting flashed.

Actually, you spend your time pointing out what you think needs to be done to the sound of crickets, and then continuously pat yourself on the back about it. I actually spend a majority of my time working, enjoying my family/friends, and enjoying that awesomely reliable 300hp daily-driver of an RX-8 that I have...

As for the rest... while you do indeed paint a beautiful picture there, I'd prefer to think of it as giving you a whiff of your own crap. As much as I enjoy messing with you, only a boundless egomaniac such as you would think that anyone would spend a majority of their time breaking your *****; I assure you, it's not even a significant enough part of my life to be considered a hobby. BTW, what are you doing reading my posts? Didn't you claim to subscribe to sticking your head in the sand the last time I gave you a whiff?

Oh yeah... I spend some time sleeping too.

That is what i was getting also with the intx(base map). I think that is pretty typical of the base map.
You can go ahead and get the flash without that particular maf pipe--speak to Cam. I am using the Revi intake RB maf pipe. i added some vacuum access.

Its not what I think. I don't own one of these things. Its not like I'm observing this stuff in my lab somewhere.

The pattern is thus:
I discuss the kits short comings.
You attack me rather than my ideas.
That outs you pretty effectively.
Then I get a bunch of entertaining e-mails about you and we start again.
I have a hard time leaving you on ignore because I get so many requests. How do you think my access to the Pettit threads got turned back on after your fan club asked to have me removed?

I really have a hard time believing that you really take your efforts so seriously or that you don't realize how transparent you are.

I don't sleep, so you have me there.

This is how I see the pattern:

You make up some short-coming or make some insulting and undeserved statement directed towards people that I like and respect.
I expose it for the crap that it is with a smile on my face and a slow and steady pulse.
Then your cronies send you a bunch of entertaining e-mails about me.
Then you get your panties all in a bunch and either delete the thread OR whine about it and resort to name-calling OR send me some PM about how you're going to make me look bad, OR more whining.
I smile.

I just said that I don't even take my own efforts seriously, and I'm not trying to hide anything, so what does transparency have to do with anything?

It's worth to note that in spite of the fact that several people have asked that you lose your rights to post in these threads, you very admittedly and disrespectfully continue to do so.... and I'm the transparent one?
