Pettit Super Charger Owners
Heck there is always a 2015 Stang in the future...enjoy
thanks guys. I am starting to learn it a little--but at times I really miss my 8. It was so ,....silkylicious and surgical. It was more fun to drive and thats the truth. I wish i could have had both.
I am hearing really good things about the 2015 stang. Cant wait to see it.

they are selling for list price around here?
Still I would be leary of buying this first years model--a LOT of changes happened--some may need ironing out.
My Zo6-- is a beast. Takes getting used too. 140-150 mph is NOTHING to get too.
Hell it will take off in 5th gear and will go all the way to 175mph without changing gears.
Still--0 I cant wait for slvrstreak/marcos to stop killing wildhogs and get the car ready for the track!

So... Update.
I had the Supercharger fully rebuilt by Kenne Bell.
I got the original Crank pulley installed.
No leaks, everything is installed.
Problem...
I reinstalled the supercharger. But I'm getting no boost. I dont have the boost gauge fully installed. It just needs to be connected to a nipple on the UIM.
The car drives like a really strong N/A powered Rx8... Idles good and all. Runs smooth. The SC barely makes noise. But I dont feel any extra power. I rode in Gregs car in April and was like holy **** this is so much faster than stock. I did not get that with my car.
Called Cam Sr. He said to cap the VDI. and put a screw on the hose leading to the solenoid with the black connector. which I did. He said double check the Bypass valve. So I took the hose that connects to it; suck and blew air into the bypass valve to make sure it was working and it was. Checked the hoses connecting the bypass valve; made sure there were no leaks. Then I check the vacuum box and the hose that goes from that box to the T then to the bypass valve and then UIM. Everything checks out. The belt is tight and the SC is spinning. I hear it winding up loud as I go threw the RPMS.
Help me figure out why I'm getting no boost.
I'm thinking maybe the Vacuum box is no good. IDK...

Can you connect the S/C bypass valve vacuum line to somewhere near the "hump" hose, with nothing else connected on that vacuum line?
you wont know nothing until you get a boost gauge?
Get the boost steady, get your maf numbers, make sure you have enough fuel, get temps under control--then go tuning....
Guys--this may be something yall can use. Yall know I now run a c6 ZO6, right?
Research with these 500hp+ engines with 11:1 compression ratio is showing that the iridium plug tip gets hotter than once believed. It actually cause some knock in the higher rpms. Changing to a copper electrode plug solves it.
I wonder if the iridiums used in this FI engine makes it more prone to knock?

Ok so I got my boost gauge installed. its installed on to its own vacc source on the UIM...
it reads 3-4psi when driving the car... EDIT: just drove the car and boost gauge read 10psi. Doesnt feel fast though.
Going to do some logging. But I cant figure it out.
What vacuum point is the supercharger bypass valve, vacuum line connected to?
It's connected to a T'' that connects to the UIM and Vacc box...

anyone know who's car this is?
anyone know who's car this is?
cooling/realiability mods = $1000
not to mention it's got a stock engine so it's a time bomb
a good build would be another $5000
again...not disrespecting the car or price
