well---i am about to do something.
I am going to vent the oem hood---nothing really big. Just the lip that goes down to the rotary symbol.
It will be a total of 4 slot type vents--separated.
I hope it turns out well.
I do realize it will not vent a lot--it will vent a little, its more of a design element more than anything.
x fingers.

Sorry Denny, if you didn't know what you are doing, why do I have your heat exchanger model on order? Why are other people looking at manifold porting/polishing?

Also, everything else may be about to get interesting.

I am changing my heat exchanger soon, to the 26x7x2 on Frozenboost, rerouting my IC water lines through the passenger side engine bay, double sealing all of my vacuum lines, with 3M weatherstrip adhesive and clamps, using 50 PSI EFI fuel hose for all of my boost side vacuum lines, replaced my motor mounts, and added the Remedy water pump. I am also keeping the secondary radiator for now.

24x7? Why not the 24x12X1? I was able to fit it behind the front bumper support ( it is a tight fit) and I cut the front bumper support top half off too. Worked great. Its only one inch thick which allows better air flow through it.
You also want the a/w cooler/cooler away from a heat source like the a/c condesor and radiator
Face front is the most important aspect of a properly designed cooler.
Remember the longer your coolant lines the less velocity the pump will push the coolant. I am keeping an eye out for the new 2013 Mustang intercooler pump. Its twice what the previous one was. They have to cool the charge on that 650 hp beast!
Frozen boost makes some nice stuff we can use....
I hear you about the vacuum lines! I ended up using " Hose candy" It works and it sure is nice not have to pull the vacuum lines off when I am working on whatever. Now its just a twist fitting and there are NO leaks. I do plastic tie the fittings that see boost though--just use a very small one and you cant see it. Matter of fact use the plastic tie first then use the supplied shrink hose on top of that= invisable.

I wanted the wide low model, it's 2 inches thick and holds a quart of coolant; the 27 inch width will fit nice between the oil coolers, down low.

I hope to put the extra IC cooling to good use soon, hopefully within a month or two.
My next pre-upgrade should be a real, return based, fuel system and all blue injectors in the 6 positions...

Shhh....

How do those "Hose Candy" things connect to the intake nipple; do they have a good clamp for the intake nipple?

yall know i am joking around guys.
The hose candy comes in a kit with special nipples that can be used. Its a very secure fit--more so than oem. I still use a small plastic tie on the boost side of a fitting. I bought a small kit and it was only like $30.
I have it on the blower by pass valve, the ssv line, my oil catch can line and the intake line(omp). It looks good too. Our kit exposes a lot of vacuum lines.
Sure make its easy in removing the line. No more pulling and prying, no more undoing clamps or cutting plastic ties. Wish I had done this 4 years ago.

has anyone looked to see if we can run a shorter alternator belt?

I don't think that is true. More likely they don't make that particular unit anymore.

as far as I know Cam is exploring other options and has a surplus of kits(w/o sc) ready to go, but sourcing a compatible unit has delayed the sale of the kit

All I can say is that R&D is being done.
Moon the kit you have is really sweet--I really really like what you did with the a/w intercooler. Some one will get a great kit.

Well get Moons kit--its available right now. One good thing about this kit --other than the obvious is you have all of us that have been running it for sometime as a reference.
I can tell you this. The improvements we have made over the years have helped a lot.
Things like a better a/w cooler, repositioning the pump , better by pass valve etc.
It transforms the car. You would have money left over in comparasion to a 13 B swap to buy a SII trans and install a 4:77 diff!
I havent seen anyone with this kit run it with a 4:77 diff --yet hehe.
