Well, id have to say this machine is ALOT faster then my 4 port. Starting to notice some little thing as im checking it out. It seems the front grill has restrictions again, WTF. In the flow path, not infront of the bumper this time. Gotta deal with that but no big deal.

When are you going to post pictures of this thing???

Oh, injectors/pulley are going in a week from Saturday, along with some Juansport bling-bling engine bay mods.

Two weeks after that we'll both have an appointment with the drag strip, and hopefully join the 12 second club.

My new set of 245-40-18 Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radial hopefully will make it happen.

yeah be careful. More power + more grip = more potential 'sudden' force on transmission.

Yeh, have you ever seen a tranny split a gear, ouch. The main thing is have it in gear. Funny you should say that, a buddy of mine bent his shift fork on his CBR. I watched him pull it appart he and straitened it. I told him I wouldnt do that if I were you, needless to say it broke a month later allowing it to shift in to 2 gears at once, did the slide for life, split 2 gears and made the bike a usless mess.

My new M/T DOT slick radials are due Monday and bastage and I have a tentative Palm Beach Raceway appointment on Friday February 13th.

Also, I just ordered the 2009 RX8 under panels since most of my driving is on the highway. I already have a BeatRush under panel to complement the trio.

12s seconds quarter mile here we come.

I'm sure it is to do with the lower coefficient of drag on the '09 models.

Cheers,
Hymee.

dude--take that lower intake stuff off! It will heat you up.
Best thing to do is to take the intake off, vent it, and use the old hot rod trick of making your on phenolic gasket. That huge contact patch the lower intake has to the engine is what is heating it---not radiate heat in our cases as we have the exhaust system addressed (your wrap is visible man!!).
you still running a cat? If not then take the air pump stuff off, the vdi stuff off and you may be surprised how much more ventilation you will have all the way down to the injectors.
like the heater hose set up hehe
get the 4:77 gears a set of cheaters and go break stuff!!!

Negative, it is not completely wrapped. It acts more like a shield.

Maybe later if I have to take the engine off the car.

you still running a cat? Are you kidding, No.

My header has an air tube. Maybe someone might sell a bolt on stripped down intake in the future. Then I will eliminate the pump and all the other stuff but for now it's staying.

I like my OEM gears for now since most of my driving is interstated highway.
