I am just trying to figure this out is all.

Scott,
I know this kit is still in the development phase, but using this new Turbo with the previous greddy setup can you attest to how much of a difference there is in Turbo lag and where the boost kicks in?

Thanks,
hS

There is a very different feel to this setup. The Greddy turbo is pretty instant with spool-up and because of this it has a instant "hit" of torque to it, but because it's instant, CFM limits make it feel flat above say 6500rpm IMO. This setup feels more like an tradional T2/FD RX-7 with a good sized single turbo. It starts pulling with a very smooth jet taking off feel to it (love that smooth as silk rotary power) and doesn't stop pulling until you shift! Keep in mind that all testing to this point has been done using bushing turbo's so the spool-up with the optional ball bearing upgrade will be even better and have a longer service life to boot. Thanks for the info Scott. That smooth spool is what the Dyno seemed to show as well. I was just wanting to double check.

Sounds Good!!!

Speed Force Racing only sells tuner kits or complete kits with the TSI.We cannot dictate what are resellers do and how they handle their customers. Now back to the topic.........

So this "upgrade" or kit would theoreticly mean that one can buy "just" the turbo, ballbearing and Int-X and keep the other GReddy parts?

I must say that I´m very curious to see what turbo is used in this setup... cause I have looked for a bigger one myself to fit the area.

YOU GO SCOTT!!! NICE WORK! And please make sure this gets available to overseas customers as well.

So the turbo sits in the same place as the greddy kit? I'm really confused on what this is exactly... a greddy upgrade, an new kit based on greddy design, or a repackaged greddy kit with upgrades. I wish I had money. :'(

Scott, you've worked wonders once again. Good luck on completing the project.
Any chance you're going to have one to show off to the locals?? I'm 15 minutes away....

Nice job Scott, you know I complain about the price...but you have done ALOT for my fellow RX8ers.

5psi for 300whp....WOW!!!!!!!

You deserve a... in your honor for all the hard work on the baby Renesis.

If I keep my 8, I might be able to convince my wife that a 6K Turbo kit is cheaper than a brand new car (lol).

It's just ...5psi = 300WHP. I'm like alot of folks here...that's all I would really want, that equals low 13's per the results we have seen here.

5psi is like NA with some spice...lol

A quick question, while you might not be done testing this thing to be able to say for sure, since you are using a bigger turbo have you noticed any lagg issues or more lagg than the Greddy?

I'm wondering if the progress on this kit will influence the release of the PTP kit......or at least the release of new information
