really nice

I like it ...

so if you've got a bundle price ...??

before I didn't like the greddy urbo kit cause you've got more power between 7000-7500 rpm than 7500-8000 : it was not more rpm more hp ...

now with the dyno I can see this ... so you keep the spirit of the rx8 more rpm ... more hp

Hey Scott, SWEET job. Very sweet. You bested Greddy on their own product I'd say.

Question: on the 7.5 psi, what's that sharp dip at 8K RPMs? Why is 7.5 psi dip like that and 5 psi stays so smooth? Is that fuel starvation problem or something?

The more pressure a combustable mixture is under, the more energy it takes to ignite that mix. The stock system is not designed to ignite a compressed mix and simply gets "blown-out" or rather, by-passed. Typical problem on boosted cars.

Hmmm, wish I'd heard about this a week ago, then I wouldn't have gotten my bike.. :/ Oh well. I got 71 horses extra horses.

Too bad, I'm only 20 minutes away!

AWESOME !!!!

And I only have three years, nine months to go. By then you should have everything worked out, the price will be lower than it will be initially and the numbers will be even more impressive !!!!!

Same here but I have less than two years. Was thinking about staying NA, but with this system I would deffinatly have a lot of fun with 5 psi.

you could build a house on that torque shelf!!! delicious!

i'll bet that was with some pretty warm and humid intake air as well..i'll be interested to see what it runs when temps are in the 60's

is it worth losing 1000rpms of available rev-range? Any way to tune the system to 8400?

You need to just not think that an absolute high redline is always necessary. It isn't I'd rather have an engine that only revs to 7500 rpm and makes the power I need rather than one that revs to 9000 rpm and makes the power I need. Higher RPM's shorten an engine's lifespan. Just keep it low. I'm sure he can still go higher yet as it appears that the ignition is preventing him from doing so but power is power no matter where you have it.

This is a complete slap in the face to all the people who say a Renesis can't handle boost. Basically 350 hp and counting on pump gas and high compression.

But truthfully - we won't know if the Renesis can handle 350hp until months or years from now. 350hp 'might' be a temporary thing. I know Miatas can handle 230-250whp for years because of FlyinMiata. Has anyone had even 300whp in an RX8 for more than a few months? Test of time is important; I'm sure you'd agree.

Not all pump gas is created equal. I think they get 93.5 or 94 in Florida.

I know how you feel! I was about to buy a turbo 2 FC rx7 for about $5000 but i dont know anymore! I dont know what i want, this kit or the turbo'd 7... Hopefully the kit is reliable enough. I guess i'll wait it out and see the long term effects of the turbo on the 8.

There is no reason why this can't be reliable. the engine can handle it. What it can't handle is most people's right foots.

I constantly see excuses from all parts of the country. Their gas is better than ours. Their gas is higher octane, etc, etc... I don't belive this as a valid excuse for a second.

I hope that's the case...goes for the tranny and axles and rear end, too

That torque SHELF is too crazy, what a change from the Greddy turbo curves, i am amazed you can still retain the NA torque shelf in a turbo-ed renesis. Good tuning Scott! + linear power delivery too!! omg, i want that car, its a crazy machine. I am satisfied with 5psi!
