well guys i wanted to give you a little more in-depth evaluation of the mazsport coil packs that i have been using...

first i would like to give you a bit of additional information since its in question. performance mods on the car are as follows:
-hks legamax exhaust
-3" mid pipe
-mazsport fuel pump
-k and n drop in filter
and mods that i wont impact the dyno but to be thorough;
-REVI ram air duct
-mazsport cooling fan control mod

i also have had a compression check done recently on the car and revealed some pretty good results;
front housing
8.8, 9.2,9.3 @289
rear housing
9.2, 9.2, 9.3 @290

with that behind us my evaluation;

the car is definitely peppier... when i hammer my foot around 3500 rpms the car just gets up and goes.... it really starts to pound the through the upper rpms starting at 7000 rpms... in fact you have to really listen for the beep because she comes really quick...

outside of that i would like to let everyone know a little bit of a side note... these dyno charts were done on 87 octane fuel... so everyone should feel what i do... so i would deff suggest purchasing these guys...

i would be happy to answer any more question anyone might have...

Is there any way we can get a certain color (blue) for the spark plug wires? I kind of have that color all over my engine bay...

Seems like quite a few people would be really happy if you could snap a pic, but I understand if you can't.
Anyway, I suppose if they don't belly up here within about six hours, it will just cost them roughly $75.00 or so more dollars.

Man, I didn't think of that.....I'd like to have blue as well. Probably too late and I'll bet they have nuttin but red. I'll ask Betsy and see if at all possible.

I just pleaded our case..............we'll see what happens!

With the engine cover on you will not be able to see the wires anyway unless you really really look

The HKS Twin Power DLI II as the same side effects has Mazsport Ignition Soltion but it still does not address the real problem.(My opinion is based off of what i have read on the HKS and Mazsport websites no real facts on what i am saying) The OEM coils are the weak leak in the ignition system and the HKS Twin Power DLI II does not fix that problem. So Mazsport's Ignition Soltion gives you the best of both worlds. The Mazsport Ignition Soltion is cheaper and you get coils, spark plug wires, and tech support.

Its also about as cheap as the HKS, but with the stuff that normally breaks upgraded.

its stated that the HKS will work with the Mazsport coils... would there be any benifit to running both .. or just major overkill?

Scott

What is your opinion on using the HKS unit in combination with your upgrade?
