Just take it up the rev range under boost in steps - monitoring the afr . IE mash the throttle and go to 3000 rpm and back off . If that was ok go to 3500 etc etc until you get through the rev range .
You want to make your shift point about 7500 with the Greddy . Anything over that and your motor/turbo combo wont like you ...

Thanks. I know it's not very original.

Hey Konig,
I looked at the oild pan install pics and just wondering if you chased the bolt threads before installing the Greddy pan.

I take it you mean the 7500rpm thing . No that is just a general comment about the Greddy . It is a great turbo for the motor up to that rpm - over that ........ not so much .

also tried to explain the process of installing the AEM intake with greddy turbo as best as i could in the picture captions and explained what we did in order to make it work.

and showed the custom brackets we made for the intercooler to work with the AEM intake as well.

I wonder about taking in air after the intercooler and how hot it will be ?

I think it is possible to mount the intercooler upright and still use the AEM by cutting out the s bend and mounting it above - not sure on that though.

I think what you are talking about is the same thing i want to do with mine brettus. in the same location Kane has his homemade CAI. it shouldnt be any more work to do that, then it is to make IC brackets and i wanna keep mine filter up away from the water

also, good pics and glad to see everything is going/has gone well

Konig, I wonder what's your plan regarding dodging the smog test... I suppose you don't want to take the turbo off when the test is due?

Nice install btw...

I agree.
PM's fine...
I'm just curious because that's probably the main reason I'm afraid to go this route.

a smaller filter(than the AEM) is required to fit in that space though.

ive been driving around lately staying out of boost, everything seems to be good cant see any leaks anywhere.

ive been staying under 5000 rpms though because i dont want to damage anything since its not tuned.

anything i should be careful with while driving it untuned? i usually dont press the accelerator pedal any more than 20% (as shown on the accessport) and the afrs out of boost are around 14-15's under 5000 rpms.

When are you going to get it tuned? With no leaks and out of boost you should be ok... but it is really really easy to go into boost - especially in a emergency situation like lane change etc to avoid a wreck.
