Just the way the car's set up (the suspension/weight distribution) is not very drag friendly. Before I got the stiffer springs/beefier rear sway bar the wheel hop was INSANE, afterwards it became manageable, but it's still there.

BTW Ray, what suspension mods do you suggest for drag racing?

When I run mine I don't want to go to much outside the daily drive setup. I don't want to remove the front sway bar or anything that drastic but I will adjust my shocks to soft in the front, and stiff in the rear.

Ray, are you saying that if I change out the sway bars it will help with the wheel hop? The question may sound newb but all my drag racing experience is with a 65 nova, 69 chevelle, 1990 5.0, and a 96 Honda CBR, with those there is no such thing as wheel hop and as far as suspension, 90/10's was the only thing I did.

How come with a Turbo setup the HP seems to drop dramatically after around 7800 rpms? SC's seem to have a higher RPM peak hp...

I don't think the answer can be as generalised as that. The peak power etc has to do with so many factors than just "supercharger" versus "turbo-supercharger".

As for the coils - just think about this... How the hell does the coil pack / spark plug know what mechanical method was used to increase the pressure of the mixture, weather it be by forced induction (t/c s/c) or increased compression ratio? All the spark plug sees is a mixture waiting to be ignited. Yes - at higher boost levels there may be additional requirements, but how it got there is irrelevant.

Cheers,
Hymee.

That's about the engine's peak volumetric efficiency. I asked the same question in the dyno thread. SC's more closely mimic the stock power curve, but they all drop off after that point, even stock. SC's just drop off less.

Best bet is to look at one of the independent supercharger graphs rather than the one in the comparison thread.
