Good to here.

I have tracked a supercharged 8 a good bit. If I can be of any help, just let me know.
Cooling is an issue--secondary radiator is the ONLY thing that will work on track unless you remove that a/c condensor.
The seondary radiator can be mounted anywhere in good airflow--there are lots of places.

I also have found a way to help evacuate the engine bay heat via a small 1/2 inch circular spoiler mounted on the cross bar right before the oil pan. Just take a length of pipe cut it in half, lenght wise and mount it. That causes a low pressure area to develope behind it which helps draw some of the engine bay heat out.
rotor on guys---good work!

Thanks OD,

I will remove all A/C components soon because i donīt really need it and it is such an unneeded weight.
Yes, the water temperature raise up faster than i have expected..
Good idea with that pipe, i think i will try this soon.

I will post some pics soon, but i want to correct that hose with the MAF first.

OK, I can't stand it anymore. I'm in a pretty dark mood tonite and just finished my first bottle of wine, and I've got to ask the unaskable question:

WTF is going on with the Hymee kits? Hymee got me into this however many years ago wihen he posted the rear wheels during a dyno run, and I"ve followed the development of his kit with great interest. For some reason, he's become MIA, which I understand could be health related, and the kits are going out slower than a government refund check. I really wanted to see a community build around this kit. Is this ever going to happen?

There is a thought, move the A/C condenser to the rear of the car, you need some really long A/C lines.

I agree with Team and do not believe there will be New kits produced. There for awhile I thought I would have to even have to outsource the production of this last pulley. It seems as if the current kits will still be supported but I am not sure to what extent.

I do wish it would have become big production but I am happy to own a little slice of history.

You can realize and accept it or you can simply keep fighting the "good" fight and remain behind the curve.

You can't fight physics and all the cognitive dissonance in the world won't make you faster.

....... A little dramatic. This threads topic focus is not to debate SC vs turbo. Most of us know a properly set up turbo charger has greater potential.

I picked up this kit because I wanted to do a build a bit different that would stand apart even years from now.

[QUOTE]

That's if your want a turbo, Jeff and TwoBagger. I don't, and I'm sorry for everyone else who didn't want one that looked to Hymee's kit for "a build that would stand out years from now".

so did I, then I wised up

I can't claim to have accurate info, but the rumored word is that beyond the the kits initially sold there will not be any more, supposedly Hymee has folded, at least for the moment

I'm not going to give private info but I know the man was hurting there for awhile. I would not be surprised if he did not sell anymore kits but there is Nothing saying he will not.

Zenrx8 have you tried to contact him to see if he will sell you a new kit? All of us that I know of have received our missing parts and Mark did say he would still honor my tune.

Team I cant blame you for wising up. This kit has not been as well supported as we all wish it could have been.

There is another owner here stateside but I have not herd from the man in awhile. He may be busy with the install.... I hope to start my install in the next few months.

I wised up to the supercharger concept in general. That was not an opinion on Hymees kit. See my previous turbo > SC comment.

It did (does) sound like a really sound piece of fabricating.

I only got to see the kit prototype in person once about 4 years ago, but it was impressive looking. Perhaps Mark will get a second wind...

I am far from an expert on fabrication or engineering but I do have the kit (Hoss-05's) on hand and it is very well made and engineered from my perspective.

We will see just how well this bad boy bolts up very soon.

yes i really like the way he did his idler pulley set up.
One thing I wanted to ask about. The charger itself seems to be very close to the alternator?
That alternator (while on track) can get hot enough to melt the belt on high ambient temps days. I just wondered if that is something that may need a little heat shield?

Realize or accept what? I'm not fighting a fight, I'm just making a choice. You're the one who rises to the bait every time a supercharger vs. turbo choice comes up.

My whole reason for making any comment here is that I hate to see that Hymee's work has run into problems. Even you have described Hymee's kit as "overengineered, even by my standards" (whoop-de-*******-doo. Jeff sez it, it must be the best)"

I hope the users who do get their Hymee kits up and running enjoy them. I hope all the owners who decide to run a turbo end up with good luck, fast motors, long life and hot chicks. And, if as rumor states, Mark is experiencing a chronic illness, well, let me wish him my prayers an d good wishes, because I've been there; hell, I"m still there, with surgery coming up in a month. I've been told by people close to you (yeah, you'd be surprised how I get around) you've been told your personality issues are not helpful to BHR. Maybe we'll get to meet someday; I've to to see if the the live ego matches the online presence.

Best of wishes, Hymee.
