^Bought Porterfield R4-1 pads, very happy with those. The previous Hawk pads were useless.

Yeah paint is always the better option. Nice work, they look great, I like the shade of gold, I usually don't like gold wheels.

You can go straight to Dubai with those wheels

I went for the dark side but i did a mistake by powder coating the hub of wheel on inside, not the best move, I now have a slight imbalance that I cant get rid of I was concidering to try to machine off the coat of by taking it 0.5 - 1.0mm down, but I'm not sure if thats a good solution.

Yeah hand made .... getting together a dummy engine and hopefully an engine mount so most of it can be done off the car .

Have you measured the max distance from the engine to the chassis where the hot side will sit? I assume so, just wondering if you know what that number is.

It's going to be tight ... but I'm pretty sure it will fit

That's right where mine sits. I had to put the velute almost straight down then rotate the cold side very close to the engine, but then I went with a smaller cold side velute and had plenty of room up front.

Don't forget about the 1/2" or so that the transmission sticks out past the engine right there. If you have an extra shield that fits there it will help with the fitting.
