I ordered from another seller for $17.00 shipped. It's basically a mesh filter that can be cleaned. It will work better than nothing, I just need to make sure I check it from time to time.
That looks pretty sweet, filters down to 10 microns

I dont know about you all but I change my oil every 2.5-3k miles. I dont feel like there can be much debris that can flow through to the turbo plus it is restricted down to .065

Yeah I change my oil usually around 2k but I have read a few things about how the smallest particles can ruin a journal bearing turbo and since I paid so much for mine i don't think it's worth the risk. My CHRA has a built in restrictor so my line does not have a restrictor on it.
Scot you have by far the most complected turbo line set up of all time. Lets list them out loud: water lines, oil lines, scavenge pump, custom built scavenge pump pressure warning system and a oil filter. I am sure there are other things I am not currently thinking of. LOL I love it!

Why do you think this **** is taking so long!! I was foiled by a missing 1/4" swivel last night but everything is coming together nicely.

An oil change in an RX8 is far from complete unless you drain all the oil out of the coolers and lines. There is still about a quart and a half that stays in the system.
Yea I'm surprised we haven't seen more greddy failures from this.. Unless we have an people just don't realize it.
I hope I can run mine without a scavenge pump!

Yeah I don't want to take any unnecessary risk with my turbo. As for oil changes, I use an extractor and there is still quite a bit of oil left in the engine. You won't need a scavenge pump with your CHRA, your drain should sit right at the bottom. i would probably be okay with out one but I figure in my case it's extra insurance.
Well its on its way, it hasn't really been shipped yet.
I'm ordering a full water/oil line kit with the CHRA the seller and I are just sorting out the details.
At this point id rather get a custom manifold and run a new t67...
But...
I'm not crazy so I wont be doing that.

Sounds good man, can't wait. I wish I had ordered a premade water cooling kit. I also should have used cool wrap to wrap the cooling lines but we will see how they fair. If I could do it all over I would do quite a few things differently.

I'm just sitting back and stealing your ideas then finding better ways to do them!
Don't worry someone else will do the same to me after I make my bushing DIY.
It's how we learn round these parts!

Yeah, when I decide to redo some things later it will go a lot smoother. But that is how it was in my Honda days. By the time I sold my Civic and my CRX I could pull the engine and turbo kit and put it all back in in a weekend.
By the time my suspension project is over I will be a master with anything suspension!!!
Should be getting the rear solid subframe collars, rear urethane kit, and autoexe tie rod ends sometime after Christmas...
Then sometime this spring my final project will commence... Rebuilding the transmission...
see if you had not left you could be helping a fellow winning blue. shady.
but nooo you had to go all the way to texas.
anyways be nice to see what the finished look on this project is.
might make me change a few things when i get my funds back up.
