From one engine install adding a turbo--look at what you have already learned.
besides bad bolts/ studs are a pita!
How would it have been if you had installed the engine first?
I am going to past on a little info ole buddy from Cam at Pettit racing.
He is now advising NOT to wrap the header (oem or aftermarket), he thinks the rear exhaust port can sometimes get to hot. Now this is on the cars that are going to get track day etc use. Couple engines have blown and he thinks this is adding to the risk. I know a lot of people may question this and I understand, but i have learned the hard way to listen to the folks that have been around a while.
I have double heatshielded mine, that is the oem aluminum shield then a dei heat shield then another modified oem aluminum heat shield on top of that. This leaves the bottom of the header expose to air, but blocks all that heat from coming up. It works ok.
Oh by the way the barrel thermostat thing i had going. I have been running it a while now and it is better. If you want I will PM you about it.
Now just dont rush through the details just because the engine is in--i learned that too

My Greddy manifold is ceramic coated but not heat wrapped. The only thing I did forget to do is to try and fab up a heat shield to go between the LIM and the turbo. I did get -10AN fittings and lines for the oil drain and scavenge pump last night.
One question though, in looking at my oil filter adapter plate I was wondering if the oil feeding my turbo is filtered or not. I don't think it is.

Finally got my return fitting in. At lunch I'll pick up my replacement oil coolers hoses and then get on it this weekend

good luck getting that return line in there. Let me know if it fits well. From the way the greddy return line comes out of the CH it seems like it would be damn near impossible getting the female end of the AN fitting to mate up. Its tight in there.

**** man, even some of Parker fittings are now made in China. It's pretty sad really that you have to search so hard for quality American products. I try to support local businesses as much as I can but man it just isn't worth it when have the crap I get local is just marked up stuff made in China. And honestly some of the made in China stuff is actually pretty damn good.
