No prob Team, thx for at least offering it though.

Motor is finally back together after the front stationary gear bearing was totally destroyed. The front rotor was banging around pretty bad inside the rotor housing due to this and unfortunately also took out 2 apex seals, the e-shaft and the rear gear bearing in the process. All has been replaced and this go around the motor was built with Goopy apex seals as they were readily available and I needed to get the motor together quickly. The NRS ceramics will go in my standby motor that I'm currently building.

Here is the motor ready to go back in this weekend:

I might be flying back down to PHX in a month or so to take care of a pair of Rx-7s.. Would only be a short flight to CA to help you finish the tune....

*Update*

200 miles on the new motor so far, all systems look good. Have only gone up to 1psi-3psi.
Currently I have a plate blocking the APV ports(since I removed/modified the sleeves) and the SSV has also been disabled for break-in (not really necessary).
Running rich but not as rich as before.
In those 200 miles I'm averaging 15.7 highway mpg.
Also, since I'm not running an OMP I'm premixing 128:1 (1oz/gallon)

300 more miles to go and I'll throw her on the dyno...

Anyone local to West Hills 91304 with an Access Port?
I need my PCM programmed with lower cooling fan "on" temps.

Thx!

You have to buy an AP, you can't just use it to flash.

That's lame.

Anyways, there's a way to do it with my Adaptronic ECU but I would use up two of the "aux out" ports for each fan relay, more work than just hooking up a cable and flashing the PCM. I'm not having any cooling issues at the moment, this is more of a proactive measure so I'll have to think about what to do here.

Lookup how mazsport's fan tool worked. It costs around 30$ to build it yourself.
They are still selling them on ebay under the new shop's name... if you don't mind giving money to a known thief that filed for bankruptcy and flew away with many people's money you may even buy it there.

or you could buy and use the cooling fan temp control unit from Mind's Eye Engineering on fleaBay as several others have done ...

edit: yeah, what BSE50 said ...

or you could just buy a used AP, should be able to have both simultaneously and there may be more benefits to doing it that way despite some of the apparent overlap

The relay/sensor kit would be nice, it's just that I dont have that air separator hose to splice into, I may have to use the short heater hose that connects to the rear of the motor on driver's side? Besides, you're right the AP will give me more flexibility if I need to change the "on" temps higher or lower down the road, as well as anything else that's solely still controlled by the PCM.
Time to hunt for a used AP...
