Hi, i installed a sub box in my car using the rear 12v output or 2nd cigg lighter as the remote for the sub ran the power and ground wires like any other vehicle and use a line coverter box for rca cables of the 2 deck speakers in the rear when i turned system on it sounded really good for about a song and then the subs werent playing after there was no failsafe mode displayed by the amp so nothing shorted and if i let it sit and try about a half hour later itll work for about a song again.... subs are 10" jl audio amp is a 1000watt kenwood

signal might not be good run it to the fuse box near the pedals


check your ground make sure you have a good ground

check and see if the line loc is connected properly
you said you connected it to both speakers you only need to tap into one

someone told me it could be becuase i used those 3m splicers... and yea i did tap into both rear speakers

 

Sounds like the amp is overheating. What is the exact model of amp, exact model of subs, and how do you have them wired?

Back the gain **** waayy down. Just to see if it plays longer than one song..... or just turn the damn volume down. lol
