spilled milk on navi controls, joystick stopped working help!

my idiot friend spilled hot cocoa on my navi controls and I didn't notice till the next day. Toady when I cleaned it with water I saw there was a dried up layer of this hot cocoa that had to be scratched off from where there is a little bowl for the joysticks movement.

After cleaning that **** off I put the little grey joystick cap on and now it goes only in one corner side direction, so this means I can't go up or down meaning I can't move to choose any options.

Can someone please tell me this is an easy fix. Thanks

that means the CC board is jammed with something

Take it all apart and clean it ... or just unplug it and dip it into warm water then shake it. after a while take it back out and make sure you dry it completely before you plug it in again.

Dropped a cup of coke on my window buttons in my other car at the drive-thru (stupid idiot didn't put the lid on tightly). All my window buttons were jammed as with the window lock button...Heated them with a hair dryer for a few minutes. Diluted alcohol and water and just started spraying it into the creases while working the buttons. Repeat if needed...Let dry for a few hrs, and it works again =p
