Possible to add an 8" subwoofer in the rx8?
Can you put an 8" under the seat? my friend has his rally license and is really good with cars but wanted me to ask if there was a way to install an 8" sub under the seat of an rx8. or if anything like that can be done.

You just have to cut a hole in the floor so that the speaker basket will stick out under the car. No biggie.
You could possibly put one of those bass shaker things under your seat. You will have to look up the specs and measure yourself, as this really does not interest me.

Since the first day I started posting here... people have just looked at that pass-through and automatically thought "hey I should put an 8" there." Not that I have an opinion on it one way or the other, but I just find it odd people envision these same things.
It kinda reminds me of this friend I had in high school. He used to drive a Civic and one day showed up..... with a pair of 6x9's literally IN the back seats. As in where your back would lay if you were sitting back there. He just stabbed a knife in his seats, cut the hole until they were large enough to fit the speaker through and bolted them in.
For some reason this whole center pass-through idea reminds me of that...

Look into the 10 inch bazooka tube. As you have to only run 16 guage wire you dont have to pull any body panels to run the power wire. I put an 8 inch bazooka in my car and its plenty loud enough but a 10 will fit too. You tap of the rear preaker wires amnd a built in crossover does the work for you.
If you want to do it right you need at least a 10 in the trunk. You really don't sacrifice alot of space it fits perfectly on that little shelf if the back of the trunk and your not giving up alot if any space it was always hard for me to put things in that small akward space. You can put one in the pass through but its never going to sound as good as one in the truck and will end up costing you more. Mine is not even hooked up.
