Please Review My Plan

Measure, Measure, Measure again, then cut. That's how these things go.

I'm doing an upgrade to my BOSE system.
I've done all the searches and research on the forum.

What I'm looking for is someone to review my plan and confirm that all my ducks are in a row.

I'm replacing the rear 6x9's with Infinity 693.9I
I'm replacing the FRONT tweeters with Infinity 10.9T
I purchased a LOC from David Navone http://www.davidnavone.com/cart.asp?14&pid=362
(Please confirm that will work)
I intend to use a Rockford Fosgate R500-1 Amp
To power 1 Kicker 08S10L52 Square Sub

I have the amp install kit and I know what I'm doing. I just want to confirm that these components will work with the BOSE system.

Any advice?

I'll add even more pictures later but here's the completed product. It's sooo much better than I had even imagined. The sound stage is perfect. These tweeters were so simple to install and offer a much brighter sound for the driver/passenger. The 6x9's give a lot more fill but you lose a decent amount of lows. That's where the kicker 10 comes in, combined with the level switch on the amp I'm able to tune the bass level independently from the rest of the system.

Every thing looks perfect, except you have the wrong model Kicker L5. You need the 08S10L54 with the particular amp you're using.

You have dual 2 ohm. You need dual 4 ohm.

Please Explain.

The Amp is
* 4 ohms: 320 watts x 1 chan.
* 2 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.
The Sub is: 2 ohms.

The sub is a DUAL 2 ohm model, meaning that on a mono amp, it can be wired at either 4 ohms or 1 ohm. You need a dual 4 ohm model so it can be wired at either 8 or 2(what you need). Do a google search for series/parallel wiring of a dual voice coil speaker.

I have a kac 929 150 rms x2 (reg, not bridged) for my 150 rms speakers. I only have the gain up 1/4. though the years I always done this because I can upgrade the speakers later on and don't have to change anything except the gain level. the amp also never heats up ... ever! Ive had an amp burn on me before -- since then .. I've never had an amp up more than 50 percent since then

As Paradox stated, the L5 is a DUAL voice coil subwoofer. Meaning it has two 2 ohm connections that both need to be connected. Either in series or in parallel. You need the dual 4 ohm version and will want to wire it like this to your amp:

i have a couple questions id appreciate you answering =]

1.can i know the prices/location you bought the infinity speakers from?
2.how good are the speakers you chose compared to others (are they top of the line or in the midrange performance range?)
3.you are going to be powering those speakers with the bose amp right?

im looking to do this sometime in the future too! thanks!

I got the speakers from SonicElectronix.com for $124 (6x9) and $69 (tweets)
2.how good are the speakers you chose compared to others (are they top of the line or in the midrange performance range?) These are high quality speakers. I chose them based on my prior experience with the brand as well as the popularity amongst Rx8 BOSE owners.
3.you are going to be powering those speakers with the bose amp right?
Correct, these will be a direct swap with the factory system. My second reason for choosing this particular speaker, it's plug and play

im looking to do this sometime in the future too! thanks!
I'll keep you updated on how it all goes. I was going to rip out the entire bose system and redo everything with a Metra kit and Amps. This is the cheaper and less complex solution. I'll post my results.

Follow up question:
My Sub is rated for 900Watts Peak and 450 RMS
The Amp I've chosen is is rated at 500W @ 2ohms RMS/PEAK

I'm not trying to alert the neighbors with my system, I just want to thump a little bass.
Will these 2 items work well together?

Yes. Those are simply ballpark ranges. Actual amplifier power output is determined by several other things. Likewise, power handling of the subwoofer is dependent on many factors.

Everything looks great. Have fun!

your amp is only going to put out 320 watts to the sub unless you can exchange it for a dual 4.

Yup thanks. That was addressed last week and I since made the change. It's a 08S10L54 now.
