JL Audio 500/1 Mono Block Amp

Hey guys just have a quick question, I recently installed a JL Audio 500/1 monoblock amp in my car powering a 10" JL Audio subwoofer and I have to turn my volume all the way up to about 22-25 before I can get the subwoofer to power. I have already played around with the settings on the amp but nothing seems to work. I currently have a LOC spliced with the cables that plug into the rear Bose Amp. Anyone have any other suggestions that I can do where I can have the bass before I blow my stock speakers? I have saw a several threads on here already but was not able to find an answer for this...

Tap your LOC on the Bose amp's OUTPUTS. Also ensure that any potentiometers on the LOC are turned up.

That is where the LOC is tapped into, and I actually did turn it all the way up but still sounds really low...

Which JL sub setup do you have? W0? W3? 2 ohm? 4 ohm? 8 ohm? Just post up the model number off the box.

You sure the LOC is tapped in on the Bose outputs? You can tap in on the rear speaker wires right at the speakers just to be sure. Same thing.
