you guys are funny I'm anxious for this product to come out too since my girlfriend has a Mazda3 and I want to give her an IPOD and install taht as a gift.

I'll email the manufacturer again

Well I found out interesting news today. There are two adaptors on the horizon. The first adaptor we have been waiting for is delayed until later this summer. The new one I'm waiting for info on.

I'd prefer the first adaptor to come out since that should be a better deal but I don't have firm pricing on either yet.

I'll keep you updated...looks like my girlfriend and others will be waiting a bit longer

ANy more specific dates TrueMagellan? I have a feeling my employees are going to get me a black 30gig Ipod for my birthday (8/8) and I would love to have this cable instead of the other cables that are available!

I just bought my RX-8 and the dealer said Mazda would be coming out with a unit that would dock the iPod in the bottom half of the head unit. Is that what this is? Can you tell us the manufacturer name(s) so we can google for more info?

Finishline Performance (Rosenthal Mazda) is showing an "iPod Adaptor 2005-2006", with a status of "Late Availability".

Is the iPod adaptor that MazdaParts will sell, the same as the one from Finishline Performance?
