As for your TV, the reason LCD's use so much power is because a portion of the light in an LCD is lost through polarization. LEDs are incredibly efficient compared to incandecent bulbs...they are expensive right now because of manufacturing depending on the wavelength of light they emit since they emit exactly one wavelength whereas bulbs give off a big spectrum. I used an LED Flashlight in Iraq for 362 days and I only needed to replace the battery in it twice! Everyone with the SureFires were burning out their batteries weekly and ended up getting sniped at for having a light so damn bright. The LED did everything I needed it to do and I definitely know they are good with power.

And if you enter in "5318008" on a calculator and then turn it upside down, it spells "boobies". Wait, what were we talking about again?
Didn't believe it until I tried it!!!

LED flashlights' major benefit is that their "bulbs" are much, MUCH harder to break than incan bulbs... And of course they last much, much longer. Drop even a "good" incan flashlight from face height and you can easily bust that bulb, while an LED will shrug it off. Well, the FLASHLIGHT itself may break, but the LED won't.
The downfall of the LED is that even the best of them still won't produce a pure, white light on a consistent basis. Furthermore, to get the overall volume of light from an LED that you can get from an incan takes a lot of juice.
BTW, Surefire will happily sell you an LED light, too. The best configuration for those concerned with runtime and not blinding everyone every time you turn it on is the U2. Voltage regulated and adjustable output (7 steps, I think). It's a bargain at $275.
Surefires kick butt. If you wanna bust on something, take down the MagLights!

To recap, if I may:
This is a unit which is fairly easy to install. It will interact with the stock HU display, showing the song playing, etc. It will work with iPods (will it work with other brands of MP3 players?). It does or does not have a charger as part of the package? It comes with a good mount?
Thanks!
