Rumor from someone is that metra found a problem with the mold this week and is fixing it asap.

"Released" and "in your hands" are two very different things. My guess, no way in hell you'll have it done and installed by the 20th.

 

ah suck, well i can still hope, if im lucky i will recieve it the 19th and install it that day, thats if i am very lucky lol, im also thinking i may be one of the first to get it since i am going for a single din and most people on here seem to want the double din so i think i have a good chance.

 

Not really. They'll probably figure DDIN is going to be in higher demand so they'll manufacturer more of those.

 

no doubt, but if they see pre orders for the single din which im sure they will when installers informs them im sure they will have some ready to ship out, i would think so anway

Still waiting from canary to see if he can set anything up. If not there is no news on my end. But from what I hear the kit should be in manufacturing and will be shipping soon. (It is not shipping yet to distributors)

damn i just got an email from installers saying to call them regarding my order but its too late to call now, ill call tomorrow, wonder what it could be about, ahhh dammit lol wish i got that email earlier, oh well, i will call them tomorrow and see what they say, anyone else get an email like that?

 

hrm.. the installer.com page no longer says its a pre-order

 

wierd, hope they will say when its shipping, hope its good news and not bad lol

 

My guess is it's just a call telling you that its gonna be another 2-3 weeks until they ship. Basically - hold your horses.

Yeah you were right, they said 2 weeks maybe sooner, also that they will be one of the first to get it and that 20 people who pre ordered will be getting it =)

yeah, spoke with them again this time got ahold of the guy that wanted me to call him, his name is dwayne he told me that metra is just waiting for a few parts then they will be putting the kits together and shipping them out, he told me he was just giving me an update so i didnt think they took my money and ran lol.

i said i know what was going on everyone on the site has been waiting for them to release it and he asked me to post what he had told me, i told him i already planned to lol, well yeah thats the update on my end

 

Is the guy locate somewhere in SF area?
So if it is out, I can go and grab it.

i dont know if they will have enough to ship out everywhere ie: best buy, frys, for you to just go out and buy it, installers is a site people pre ordered it from, i dont know who else is getting dibs on these kits to sell to consumers, or when you will be able to pick it up at a dealer such as frys or best buy, and if you mean the guy as in installers they are a company in houston texas they are a online based company not a company you can just go to and buy stuff like a frys and best buy

 

I'm sure they'll start popping up in most brick and mortar stores in around 2-3 months.
