Confirmed - Another dash/install kit is coming.
Oh I see, that sucks, and yeah they are greedy, but if they were smart they would drop the price now so everyone buys there product then when metra drops there's no one will buy it cuz everyone had got the corksport already, they are dumb if they don't drop price now because once metra releases there's I don't see anyone buying the corksport, even if they do lower prices
For those with the Corksport kit...do you have any problems with your temperature controls?? Ever since I installed it, my heat is a pain in the *** to get to work. I have to turn the **** from cold->hot like 20 times over and over again before the heat finally kicks in, and half the time the heat will go back to cold after 2 seconds. It wasn't a big deal over the summer, but now that it's getting colder, it's becoming a concern. Do you think it's a faulty Climate Control adapter? Thanks in advance.
Haven't had a single issue. Although, since I live in Florida, I haven't messed with the heater. Probably won't even in the winter. I like our pathetic attempt at cold weather. lol
A lot of us live in CA/FL won't be able to really answer your question. I don't have the corksport kit myself, but maybe try posting in the corksport thread or a new thread instead of the metra kit thread.

There are a couple of threads disscussing the symptoms of the problem, try searching for them and see if this sounds like your problem.
Also, a bad HVAC control unit wouldn't have anything to do with the Corksport Kit, it is just a known problem for our cars. You could try and go to a local meet or meet up with another 8 and see if they are willing to let you switch them out, that would give you a definitive answer if it is in fact the control unit.

When this topic was first introduced, I was kinda tweeked because I spent ~$450 on the corksport kit.
But now..... I'm fine with it. You guys have been waiting FAR LONGER than I would have wanted to. By the time this kit becomes available for order at CC and BB, I'll be ready to trade the damn car in. lol

firebird.. have you seen pioneer has released new maps (that include a small firmware update) for the d3? they want 120 bucks for the discs but there's a topic on the avic411 forums with a torrent for em ;-)
http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.p...=asc&start=105
It also requires a dual layer disc because of the file size. Read from page 6 to 8 to get more info.

Sweet. Thanks for the note. Although I do live in Florida, I'm downloading the West Coast disc now. Let me know when they release a torrent for us East Coast guys.
god this thread degenerated from being about a new aftermarket radio dash kit to being about how to get illicit map software for GPS's of people who already have aftermarket dash units.
I think at this point I've admitted to myself it isn't going to happen.

Geez. How touchy people get about 4 posts being slightly off topic in a 25 page thread. Guess maybe I should sleep with a gun by my bed tonight. In case the internet police kick in my door. People are ruthless these days...
lol thanks for putting things into perspective for me

so beginning of October is the latest update?
