Complete removal of bose?

I've seen lots of threads that mention speakers size and impedance. Notes about making your splices before the bose amp to get clean signal ect ect.

But can I just take the bose speakers, amps and head unit put them in a box and store them in my attic. The put in a head unit with some amps and run fresh speaker wire to the new speakers?

Is there any reason I can't, because honestly that just sounds so much easier.

Nothing wrong with doing that

You have to buy something that will integrate the Climate controls and stuff that are part of the stock head unit

I think the Metra kit works decently well for that

I think you might be overcomplicating it. It's not hard to buy or make up a clean pigtail from the head unit to the Bose amp.

yup, that's definitely an option.
Metra works well and the rest you can wire up like any other stereo install. The only tricky part is if you're keeping the bose amps which it sounds like you're not planning on.

The tone of the "not planning on" was because he seems to think keeping the Bose to be an extra level of challenge. It's not.

OP, what is it you're doing exactly? I got the tone of a first audio install. Are you trying to do some crazy high end system?
