i am in afganistan right now an i have tried searching but the computers wont bring anything up..i just bought a new double din head unit with the metra kit an i was needing to know if i need a loc for my amp and subs with the aftermarket hu or no..yall will probly flame this but try not to.. i have the bose system

 

If the hu has audio out puts u won't need locs. You normally only need locs when you want to add amps to a factory hu.

If you post a link to the radio you bought someone could easily tell you if you need locs.

That unit has front and rear RCA outputs. You'll be fine adding an amp for subwoofers. No LOC needed.

But let me be up front and clear about this. Boss is not known for their quality. They make the cheapest electronics possible. You didn't find it funny that your dash kit cost more than the headunit?

 

not at the time but i see what you are saying... what is a good head unit to get thats a double din.. what would you recomend.
