10" sub and amp install

When I stored my car for the winter, I bought a truck that came with an aftermarket stereo/sub/amp.
Now that my baby is back on the road, and mod season is off to a start, I thought I'd give a little "umph" to the Bose by installing my truck's sub/amp.
Now, keep in mind that I've never been a sound system kinda guy. This probably would have been left to last (if indeed I even considered an upgrade), had I not had a perfectly good amp and sub sittin in my unused truck.
This being my first stereo install, I think it went pretty smoothly! Only modification I did that made me cringe was drilling a hole behind the washer-fluid reservoir to feed the power...
Here are some pics (I know those wires could use a good tuck, but I was getting tired of the install. That's for another day )
Comments and feedback welcome!

PS KEEP IN MIND THIS WAS AN AFTER-THOUGHT, AND I'VE NEVER HAD THE INTENTION TO DO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE LOL

HA!!
Yeah, I'm gonna clean it up a little later on. Like I mentioned, I'm not very skillful at wiring and such. A buddy of mine is more into that. A couple beers for him, and it should look pretty(err).

If you can stand that box up and face that sub towards the tail lights. It will make a noticable difference.

That was my original intent.
the box is about 3mm too big, though.
ti's only bolted in by 1 screw, so it's not "set in stone" just yet.I just wanted to make sure it all fit, and that the cabin was free of all wires
Any tips on how I can shave the box down, without compromising it?(Or any other modification, for that matter)

Can you remove the padding or part of the padding under the carpet?

Only other thing that I could think would require some modding of the box (ie removing the carpet from the bottom and/or top and possibly some sanding/planing).

Did you cut a hole in the trunk carpet?!

And did you connect both rear speakers to the LOC, then only use one RCA?

Yeah, my buddy cut a hole into the carpet. I freaked, but oh well.
and yes, connected both rears to the LOC an only used one RCA. Is that bad?
As stated, I'm not familiar with sub/amp/stereo equipment. All I know is that the sub works, and I don't hear anything wrong lol
I'll eventually have the whole system re-installed professionally. I just wanted to see if it would work

Each RCA is a channel on the amp. I see that it looks like you've bridged two channels of a 4 channel amp. So... if it's working... the amp must have a switch to flip when you want to run it in bridged mode, in which only one RCA is required. Try plugging the other RCA into the LOC and amp...
