Trip to Downing Atlanta...

... and was able to see a sneak peek of their custom body kit for the 8. The fenders as you can see are flared to accomodate a wider wheel. Each piece weighed less than 7 lbs! I found out that this kit was for a race team up in NC. Hope you enjoy...

Downing/Atlanta was responsible for developing the high-strength carbon-fiber body panels that mimic the shape of the Mazda RX-8 street car, except with a no-nonsense racing stance. In addition, the body develops considerably greater downforce than the stock body would, while minimizing drag.

Ahhh! No wonder it resembles the MS kit so much! I might be able to get the hook-up and purchace their kit
