if you want normal LED head lights and LED parking lot lights from v-leds.com, is there a conversion kit you have to buy or do you just place them right in?

The headlights aren't LEDs.. that would be bad news. For the headlights you have to do a conversion to make them HIDs. The parking lights just plug right in

If you already have HID's all you need is the D2S bulb

Yeah, you really need to give us more info on what headlights you already have, HID or halogen. The parking lights, corner lights, fog lights are all direct swap out LED bulbs. The headlights are a direct swap (D2S) if you already have HID and are looking for another color, but if you currently have halogen you'll need an H7 conversion kit.

Good to know, I Was going to ask if i needed to get a resistor for the corners, because i've seen some people talk about blinking to fast and stuff and needing a resistor.

I know if you get the third back light replaced you need a resister, but i dunno if I will do that or not.

Turn signals need load resistors, but the corner lights are not turn signals, they are just marker lights. No resistors needed.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the high power red and white 7440/3's to get restocked so I can start on my taillight conversion. I emailed them and they said hopefully today or tomorrow they'd be getting a shipment in.

I sent them an email today asking when they will be getting the high power 7440/3's and H11's in. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back. You can also use an H8 for the fogs with minor modification (check a couple pages back for details).

Again, in those states like WA were it is technically illegal, it's not something a cop is going to pull you over for. I highly doubt that a cop has every line of the Federal regulations memorized. For example, the Fed regs also dictate minimum headlight height, which I'm sure I've violated by lowering my car, but what's a cop going to do? Pull you over and get out a tape measure?
Well here in hawaii that happened to a friend of mines, he got pulled over and a cop measured his headlight and it was only one inch, ONE INCH!!! from being legal and he still got a ticket.

Hello im new to this forum and im loving my rx8. My first mod is most likely going to be a full led conversion. Im also gonna do a hid swap (i have the base model) All the leds are going to be purchased from V-LEDs and i was wondering if the turn signals would hyperflash. I dont want to put resistors because with my limited understanding, i have heard resistors resist electrical current and in turn run hot. Would it be possibe to use these from v-leds?----->
http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning...-p5189743.html

they are specified for Mazdas but i was wondering if anyone has purchased this item and what their insight would be. Thank you in advance.

Yes, the turn signals will hyper flash if you don't use a resistor. You can just use two 3 ohm resistor in the trunk area, you don't have to use one on each bulb. As for the flasher module, I don't know. I've looked around in the car, but can't find a flasher module to replace in the car.

Also, I have not heard back from them on when they will restock signals or fogs.

OK, just heard from them on the 7440/3's and fogs. They will be getting them in very soon. They didn't give me a date, but they aren't discontinued or anything.

I also asked if they were planning on using the .5 watt LEDs on a fog bulb and they said that they are currently working on a 500lm version of the 68 LED bulb! The current 68 LED bulbs are only 136lm. Wow, I'll have to get those for sure!

I don't know how soon the .5 watt fogs will be out, they just said they were in the process of designing them. When they do come out, they should be the exact same color as the 194's used in the parking and corners since they'll be using the same .5 watt LEDs.

just got a quick question; I bought the H11's you recommended on your first page and I'm just wondering about the fit? Isn't it neccessary to pop the cover off or something? Thanks.

Another forum member, R8xing, said he was able to fit the H11 bulbs in without removing the reflector caps. Give it a try without removing anything and let us know how they fit.

How did you install the parking lights? I went to install the parking lights ( 194_4_HP_W ) and I couldn't get it to fit into the slot where the OEM bulb sat. How did you do it?
