Just had one of my VLED digital ballasts go out (the same ones in post #1129

Messaged VLED's to see what the procedures are to replace it, luckily I had an extra set of DDM ballasts to hold me over.

 

What awesome customer service. So I emailed them about my ballasts on thanksgiving day. I wasn't expecting anything other than to send in the ones that I have that aren't working, and go through an RMA process. Well, color me wrong because about 10 mins ago i just got a shipping email that my replacement ballast is being sent via first class mail. Wow .... it's really hard to find customer service like that these days

 

Just an FYI for those who would like to get an HID kit, when I first fired mine up the color of the bulbs didn't match exactly. I was going to have V-LEDS send me another pair of bulbs but after running them for about a week they seem to have color shifted and now match perfectly. They shifted to a more blue color and match the LEDs more closely also.

So if you get an HID kit and the color seems a little off, break the bulbs in and they will probably color shift to a matching color.

 

^^ Yup, same thing happened here, not only that, but they def get a lot brighter as they break in.

BTW my low beam HID's were out of stock when I ordered them and VLED had GREAT customer service. I thought I should mention that. Plus I got a killer deal!

Yea man. I'm real happy with them. They have definitely stepped there quality from the last time I ordered. For the fogs I'm running the multi tint housings with the stock bulb from ebay; which seemed to be much brighter than the stock bulbs that came with the car.

 

Hey i just have a very quick quesiton about Vleds. Im ordering a few LEDS as i speak and it says a pair. But you can also type in quantity. Stupid quesiton but does 1 quantity = one pair ??


I want to make sure so i dont order just one and have to wait another week for my other one to arrive lol.

...... guy pulls out across three lanes in between cars i hit him in his front driver side wheel.... his fault he's liable.... but theyre not going to pay to replce my aem or any of my bulbs my 6500k hid fogs and lows my running lights my corners my mesh etc etc.... basically back to stock besides one rear tail thats left over from repairs when a guy rear ended me over the summer..... ahhh oh well vleds everythings gone..... i dont plan on buying anything else for my 8. right now i think its cursed for accidents that arent my fault....

Aipex8... I see you have the 6k high power flank bulbs in your corners. How bright are they? I currently have 6k 19 LED SMT bulbs in my corners and love them, but they are on their way out and need to be replaced. VLEDS doesn't carry them anymore, so I'm looking for a similar replacement. If you have any other recommendations other than the flank bulbs, LMK. BTW, I have knocked out my reflectors inside of the sidemarkers to make them brighter, so the brighter the LEDs, the better my corners will look. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Just a quick question. what kind of eye lids are those and where can i get one.

 

The flank bulbs use 2 high power LEDs, so they are half as bright as the parking lights... if that helps. They are pretty bright, but I prefer my side markers not to be too visible from the front of the car and that's why I like the flank bulbs. they don't light up the front of the side marker and some people don't like them because of that. Does that help?

 

i used the same bulbs i used for my parking lights (194 4led SMT) and took the restrictor plate out from in front of the bulbs...looks just like the parking lights now...super bright!

 

How long does it usually take for vleds to ship? I ordered on dec 23 now I understood that it was Christmas and all, but my tracking number has stayed the same for 3 days. It says it left kent or whattever its called 3 days ago. Shouldn't I have it already ?!? I honestly cannot wait to put these one

They seemed fairly quick for my order but I'm less than 200 miles from them. Any chance your LEDs are on back order?

 

when i ordered from them it said it left wherever it was being shipped from and had no further updates until i found it on my doorstep

 

Oh! and they are going to replace my aem and all my lights in the front! they called me today for the website and links and part numbers! i guess something positive can come out of an accident that wasnt your fault.... i get a new bumper without any chips from rocks thats newly painted! im just stuck without my 8 for 3 weeks now...

 

Man what the hell thats such bad customer service. I heard they have good service but it doesnt seem like it to me. It STILL says it left KENT 5 days ago. And i havent received anything yet. I even sent them an email about it and havent gotten one back yet. WTF

 

What do you mean bad customer service? Do you think vleds owns a shipping company too? I assume it's been shipped with ups or usps, or some large national shipping company. From what I can tell, you have a tracking sku, because you know it left KENT 5 days ago.

I guess you're new to parcel shipping, but sometimes the tracking sku doesn't update in a timely manner. My last parcel was received at 10 am and then the tracker updated to tell me it was SHIPPED at 3pm that same day.

Once vleds ships out the product, it's effectively out of their hands. They provided everything they could: a tracking number.

I'm sure when they respond to your email, they'll deal with it appropriately and at the worst case reship your leds.

Just sit back and don't worry about it! A watched pot never boils.
