New LEDs. Wow! Bright!
How does this bulb:
V-LEDS Part ID: H11_3W_W
compare to:
V-LEDS Part ID: H11_68_
in terms of brightness, color, etc.
Thanks!
Looking to replace my foglights. I just don't like how yellow the stock bulbs are when compared to the low beams.

Got some of my new LEDs from V-LEDs today (ordered Sunday, arrived Wednesday, jawesome). Here are a few pictures of the LEDs, for my parking lights and clear corners. Sorry for the graininess of some of them - don't use macro often. More pictures of installed lights once they're in.
The first one you listed uses a very bright 3 watt single LED. So while it'll bright it won't fill the housing at all because there are no side firing LEDs. They will just look like a single point of light.

Compare the metal key on the LED bulb to the key on the OEM bulb and see if they are different. You may have been sent H8 bulbs by accident. They plug into the same socket so you can modify the key by snipping about 1/4 inch off the longest of the metal tabs and it will fit. I'm typing on my iPhone right now so I can't really post pics, but if you look back a few pages I gave a little more detailed explanation with pics. Good luck.

Aipex, which taillight bulbs did you order? I'd like to put LEDs in my tails, but I also want to smoke them (maybe), so I want to make sure I keep a lot of brightness.
On a side note, the rest of the lights I had on order (fogs, festoons, backups) have arrived. Now it's just a matter of waiting out the rest of the work day. I swear the clock has gone around 3 times already today!
I'll try to get some good pictures up once I get everything, but knowing me I'll get excited and forget lol

Plus, one of these for my custom 4th brake light:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/B...46586-1-2.html
They use the .5 watt LEDs, so they should be very bright. I plan on posting comparison pics between these and my stock incanscent bulbs, so stay tuned!
Nope, there are a couple other members using the spiders (or V-STAR as V-LEDS calls them). I've got the LED 3rd brake light from the group buy that went to crap, but my tails are still stock. These should be brighter than the V-STARs as they use the .5 watt LEDs.

My new LEDs are here! My new LEDs are here! (same voice as Steve Martin celebrates the phone book with in The Jerk). Just snapped a few pics for grins of my new 7440 reverse lights, new 4 LED festoon dome bulb (blue) and then the purple festoons I got for my girlfriend's Civic.
Installation pics to come - then more once it gets dark out. I know you're all excited.

Picture time! The installation went really well for the clear corners. The parking lights were ... an adventure but I got it done. The reverse lights were a walk in the park.
1) Before - even though you have seen it a thousand times
2) Inside fender - screw removed - tab is circled
3) Old lens removed - tab more visible here
4) Bulb assembly without a lens there
5) New V-LEDs 6-LED light installed - lights on

1) Lenses laid next to each other - you can again see the more sculpted look of the clear corner
2) Clear corner installed - lights on but hard to see
3) Clear left - amber right - shadows make this picture kind of useless
4) Old parking light on
5) Old parking lot bulb out of housing

1) Old reverse light from behind
2) Old reverse light from up top
3) New reverse light in and on from behind
4) New reverse light in and on from up top
And finally, the creme de la creme - an old 194 bulb stuck to a wad of gum that I stuck on a screwdriver to retrieve a bulb that had gone AWOL inside my engine bay.

Thanks for the detailed pics. The LEDs look great! Where did you get the 7440? I'll be interested to see how that one looks at night with no side firing LEDs for the housing.

Snapped a few pictures of the LEDs in the dark. I'll be darned if it's not hard to get good pictures at night!
At any rate, here's some pictures of the reverse lights. They're 7440 Super Stars from AutoLumination. They have them with metal heatsinks too, but I figured since they're for the reverse lights it'd be fine to save the cash and get them without. It's got 3 1W LEDs in the light, so I figured it'd be bright enough without any side firing lights. They were $10 each, so I figure it's worth a chance.
I think they actually look pretty good, and I love the super white light in lieu of the standard color. I'll get some pictures without the lights on later when I do my girlfriends interior lights, but I think the tails give a good reference for brightness.
