I put my car up on jack stands, one side at a time. Use a drill with sharp, tiny drill bits for your pilot holes. Don't rely on "self-tapping" screws to drill your holes!

As a follow-up I put in the rear flares last night. Easy job took about 30 min. each side. I ended up putting two sided tape on both the upper & lower part of the flares. Used 3 trim screws and speed nuts to ensure a secure fit. Came out great, tonight I will attack the front.

If you size the holes just right through the fiberglass, the screws will be very resistant to backing out. The fiberglass itself is rigid enough to hold the screws clamped in tight. I haven't seen a big need for washers and nuts yet, but will certainly update this thread if I do.
1500+ miles on the street with the kit installed. No issues, and I'm certainly no expert. When I take my trips on the freeway I tend to rack up miles in a hurry!

I noticed that the screws did go in pretty tight. Don't think they would back out without the speed nut, but according to Murphy's law I just put some in just in case. Doing the front when I get home tonight, speed nuts here will require more work since I may need to remove the under tray or parts of it.

Got the front on without any issues. Three screws on each side secured by speednuts. Also instead of tubing to keep from rubing I used 3M two sided tape. Fit is secure, if these things ever come off its taking the whole front bumper with them. Tomorrow I'll do the sides, these will be tricky due to the small lip I need to screw the sides into in the rear. Not looking forward to that.

Just finished installing the sides, went well just one issue. Once I had the sides on the front and rear parts were the two sided tape is (I used this instead of 3/8 tubing) would not mate properly with the vehicle. I solved this by using a heat gun to heat the ends making it easier to manipulate. Overall look is great; I also added two brackets to the bottom of the sides to ensure a secure fit. With those brackets in place the sides don’t even budge. Great Kit. I’ll posts pics later on this weekend.

not sure i understand what you did with the sides. can you post more detail with pics? im having these sides installed too and trying to figure out the best way to have it done. thanks!

Yea, that heat gun really worked well. At first I was thinking I'm screwed but then my buddy pulled out the heat gun. Turned the FRP into polyurethane almost. Went back to rock hard afterwards in its new molded form.

The second photo is my car passing a Porsche 993 (911) after carrying more speed through Turn 9. That sort of blew me away when I saw him do that. The Civic Si was a victim on the front straight the prior lap and the orange Mustang was a rolling pylon on the back stretch between Turns 6 and 8!

i'd rather get a replica than a ms kit.
why?
because if it it does the same stuff (aerodynamics, improved air flow to engine) why would i want to spend more money?
no one has explained this to me yet.
is it simply brand loyalty? that irrational, emotional attachment to a certain brand that you are willing to pay above and beyond and justify your decision to no end?
the only point i would agree with is intellectual property. honestly, car design shouldnt be in the realm "patents." the design of a car is the artistic property of the company. as is the ms kit.
however, as mazda doesnt seem to care about replica kits. i dont see a problem with it.

I was at Corksport the other day and I asked about the fact that the MS exhaust is the same as their's. I was told that MS basically stole the design in retaliation for Corksport making a replica MS front bumper with some minor changes. So maybe they do care...
