kwescott,

What brand of compound did you use, and how did you apply it? I did the same exact wing swap last year, and never got around to finding the stuff to do this. My white marks are not as pronounced as yours, and appear broken up, more like fine scratches.

Also, on the third hole, I remembered it after the swap, and rather than try to remove the new wing, I drilled a couple 1/2 inch holes on the bottom of the trunk lid (which is "hollow"), and inserted (from underneath) a couple nylon plugs w/neoprene wachers coated with gel epoxy. Its weather tight. A convoluted solution, but easier than removing the wing. And I have "inspection" holes to check for any moisture in the future.

Turtle wax rubbing compound. It comes in a tub similar to wax and is applied in a similar fashion. Rub with a gentle cloth, then I followed it with two apllications of wax.

Interesting solution to the third hole.

I am consideriong what "goforwand" did if I'm not able to get a good price for my stock wing....then I can start all over and not have the owrry about scratches and rust/moisture build up.

Aside: Do you mind if I ask, I've got a virgin trunk lid right now and would like to get a wing. What about the MS Wing made you like it so much more that you went from OEM to that?

Does the MS rear wing change the shrouding/shadowing of headlights different from the GT wing? I have the auto-dimming mirror and I still have issues with the sensor getting blocked by the shadow of the GT wing.
