Ah... I'm used to seeing the cell value being representative of the actual VE value.... ie: 80% VE delivers less fuel than 90%.

I never dabbled in the fueling maps in ATR... The Select has clearly spoiled me. Now is probably a good time for me to reach out to my source to get hard copies of the MM sessions I attended a couple years ago.

That is the OE map. It's all relative. You have to actually understand what you're doing with any type of software rather than assuming you know what you're doing.

Please tell me in what possible way this is either constructive or helpful? The planet is round therefore we spin, WTF?

So it's the OE map... well yeah... you know captain fxxxx obvious I started with a base post msp16 map so it better be OE.

If I knew WTF I was doing I wouldn't be asking about the scaling for the gawd damned fuel maps. That is one assumption we can also safely make.

Well I didn't mean it that way, and why is it that people always respond in exactly the same way that they are complaining about?

The VE map is a correction map, not a VE map in the traditional sense, simple. You can pretty much tune and ignore it.

Just ignore Team, he likes to make constant useless posts that lead nowhere.

there is no VE map in the traditional sense. It's a tuning function, not the actual engine VE as some people mistakenly believe

It was once and as I recall it was due to you being your typical ....

Thanks Dan and thewird for pointing me in the right direction. I do have some documentation on these tables and will have to read up on them.

I'm not swapping... Fueling is 1000 times easier with the Adaptronic.

I yanked my AP though and moved all prior tweaks, plus a few extras I couldn't get to in ATR, over.

And decided I'd give MAF based tuning another once over... Hence my questions about those two tables.

And I also spoke with a local tuner (Speed1 / KDR) giving him a thumbs up on it. Dave will likely be offering mep based tuning as a result in the coming months.

And if between the two of us we can come to terms with the OE maps then perhaps I may sell my Adaptronic some day in the future. Until then it is still my preference for ease of use.

I figured out what the "DTC Disp?" table does today, somewhat.

If you do not update the corresponding row in it, then any CELs you suppress via table #1 and #2 will still show up as Pending, but will never be stored.

Here's what I've learned:

Code:
0 = No pending
1 = Pending only if not enabled in #1 and #2
3 = Something to do with the Immobilzer (possibly do not start car)
5 = Guessing limp mode as the codes I looked up set with 5 are TPS related

Great news brettus!!!
can't wait to see your logs/power and video's

on the knock sensor, does mazdaedit acually record if the car knocks?
(cobb, will log knock but it will never report knock, just pull timing)

Yeah, having the knock sensor scaling is nice, although I have my doubts on the units, but what we really need is a way to read the ignition tables in ram that are modified by knock. With those, tuning the engine should become a breeze.

retard your entire ignition map by the ignition retard max value. and that will be your results.

No, I mean the tables in ram that are modified as you drive. If you are maxing out retard in some cells then your timing is too advanced, if you have no retard in other cells then it's a good idea to add timing. Without knowing those values the knock control strategy is useless, you can easily max it out and remove knock control completely without even realizing it. It's like using LTFT and STFT to tune your maf, except there is no CEL when you max the values.
