If you have detonation at all times with 11:1 AFRs as you have indicated in your correspondence, you've got bigger problems then your map!

So, put back on the Int-X and see if it goes away.

Until you get me some useful data, I can't really suggest anything.
You are running a calibration that is very conservative and working on a dozen or more other cars.

Unless you have something wrong with your installation or you didn't follow the calibration selection instructions, I'm out of ideas.

part of the problem is that stuff like coils can deteriorate, so if he had dying coils that worked "ok" with the int-x, then as time went on, they went from "ok" to "crap", the fact that he didn't have issues prior might not point him in the correct direction.

+1 to what MM said, try the Int-X again to see if the problem goes away, if it's still doing it with the Int-X then what Mysql could be what's happening.

Ahh.
Is there someone near him that can sit with him a while and "hold his hand" and report back?

Well, It's only 3 days late according to time frame you gave me, don't sweat it.. I do need to re-tune the Interceptor-X right? MAF is what reads the amount of air, not the pressure, correct?

You might not need a re-tune. The Int-X is pretty forgiving in boost.
Same goes for the AccessPORT. Once its is tuned, its tuned.

I have MM's upgrade turbo..
the car's super lean condition form 4k RPM all the way to 8K RPM... and it actually reach to 15 AFR in 6k RPM !!! did I just damange the engine?
I am running 5v_6b with mazsport dwell setting and tuned by Jeff on socal dyno day.
Here's the graph for 3rd gear pull and excel log file

you usually hear something if things went wrong, and even if you hit massive detonation it might not damage anything. I have 4 under my belt and the engine is still putting out normal compression results.

how were your numbers before the dwell changes?

I think you were trying to lean out the AFR in the upper RPM that day becuase the car misfired like crazy. We didn't know it was caused by the dwell setting..

i put a screen in front of the MAF. that's it

Not quite. You were too rich no matter what. Misfires are misfires. I wouldn't go above my normal tuning range - I tune to the proper AF and then address the next set of issues.

Putting a screen in front of the MAF is a major change.
Its a good change, but its a huge improvement to the sensor's accuracy.

You need to start over with the base calibrations.
