Supercharge thanks for the pics, but luckily it doesnt seem like ill have to extend the tips. I just installed my turboXS exhaust today. The hardest part by far was getting off the old exhaust. I choose to go with the RP supercat instead of the midpipe (maybe this is the reason for the exhaust tips extending further). The exhaust fit perfect, not a single issue. Both tips are even and I would say they extend at least to where the stock tips were. One thing I did notice is that the exhaust (at least to me) seems much louder inside the car as opposed to listening to it as it drives by. Im happy with the product.
Oh yeah my brother is a welder (working at the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant where the welds have to be perfect or re-done) and he commented on how nicely done the welds were on the turboXS unit.

I just installed my header back system today, i like the sound. but i have a few questions, the system will quiet down after a week or tow? because its a tad to loud for me. another question, now when i have my heat on the smell is different and if i have it set to face my eyes start to burn a bit. When i have it set to cold air its not so bad. I don't think this could be related but its wierd that this appears when i installed the exhaust. I checked for exhaust leaks and i havent got any except where the muffler connects to the pipe. Is this normal?

Not normal. If you did it yourself, make sure there are no exhaust leaks. Also, yes it should quiet down a little, but still still be one of the louder exhausts available.

If you have an exhaust leak before the muffler the noise will decrease if you replace the gasket.
The upgraded Aldehyde cabin filter does a great job of cutting down on the smells from the exterior of the car.
I don't smell diesel exhaust if I have the windows up and the fan bringing air from the outside.

Yes it is a Mazda part.
When I have asked for it, the parts desk tends to not know there is an upgraded filter.
Tommy has it:

I got those tips from eBay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Exhau...mZ170101285264
But similar also available from Magnaflow exhausts, (Part #: 35206, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...mZ130099016810) in polished stainless (very nice). Borla also make suitable tips. I bought those because I hope the chrome will stay brighter longer? Either way very easy to replace if and when I want.

They remind me of the Hymee Enhanced exhaust tips.

What I find interesting is hymee's exhaust looks almost like Autoexe exhausts. The good thing is hymee's are cheaper.

any users experience the car wanting to die with this exhaust. sometimes at idle my rpm's will drop, and then go right back to idle, about 800. is this exhaust related, or is it ignition coils or something else?

I have modified the TurboXS race pipe by adding a high flow all metal CAT. http://i510.photobucket.com/albums/s...8/IMG_1150.jpg . this CAT is quick to replace with a straight pipe when/if needed.
Fitted the full system back on the car today, also with the new longer tips, http://i510.photobucket.com/albums/s...8/IMG_2024.jpg
Sounds great (if a little loud) and I got back that nice throttle response I badly missed when compared to the stock exhaust.

The TurboXS midpipe is 3" and the stock muffler pipe is 2.5". It is not recommended to try and connect the two together as it will not seal properly. I think its a bad idea.

I do like the sound of the exhaust at the track.

He ended up cutting off the TurboXS tips and adding/extending some Borla tips. No more melting.
