I asked my mechanic, and YES, as i thought, a silencer WOULD defeate the whole purpose of it being a 3" pipe. it would be like running a one and a half inch pipe, haha.

 

if he didn't have a turbocharger then there isnt much a difference..its not a magical exhaust..

 

Maybe it came with Peter Pan's wand in the box when he bought it.

 

wow razz actually made a joke that made me laugh..haha ok..i just snickered...

 

i DID read that the turboxs racepipe gives 12HP (this is not Wheel horsepower :D )
but who knows.... only the Dyno will tell :D

 

You might want to do some searching before making a claim, you of all people should know this.
The full exhaust without tune pulled 25 HP out of Armaant and Polak confirmed, with it tuned it pulled 34hp

Most of it does come from the race pipe 15-17 HP not tuned

 

im still gonna call bullshyt on this one, until I see it happen with my own eyes, its still a magical exhaust..with fairy dust and im talking about it on a N/A car, if it were turbocharged I see lots of truth in it.

I dont think DeeDubb is saying it makes NO numbers, all he is saying is that it doesent make Magical numbers.

Im sure the exhaust makes some result (otherwise it wouldnt sell) but its not gonna be some "OMG" numbers... nothing magical.

1. I agree it makes power but something mythical like in the realms of 25 whp on a N/A rx8
2. I called BS, yes, on the mythical hp figures.
3. I don't care what well known members have dynoed, kinda like saying that when the k&n intake came out people were dynoing at 10 hp and others lost 3-4 hp.
