Thanks for asking, I guess I'm doing good on most days. Today I feel like ****.
I cant run machines as its to dagerous so I'm usless in the shop. I can't draw 'cause I can hardly write. Yet they tell me I'm doing great.
Not only can't I make prototypes I can't get the shop on to regular shifters. Right now I'm out of stock and the one machine and employee I need is tied up on a 500 part order making B&M shifters. Anyone out there waiting on theiers I'm sorry and I'll get them out as soon as I can, hope this week.

All back orders are going out today. If you've been waiting for your order, it's on the way.
If you've been waiting to order then do so now, the shelves are full.
Very sorry for the delay but we make them in batches and sometimes can't keep them on the shelf.

More important is that YOU are back "in stock".

^^^ This! Good machinists are hard to find, wizards are even scarcer.

Just installed mine this evening, I was going to just try to remove the panel, ended up completing the swap seeing as the Gomez DIY was utterly dead-on. Great Stuff! Took less time than an oil change.

There was a part of the install that made me revert to the stock shifter, because I couldn't believe how "gathered in" the shift throws had become. With the AFE installed, I thought I'd lost 5-6. Put the stock lever back in, checked the reverse gate clearance, threw it through the pattern. All there, so I put the AFE back in and this time went through the pattern backwards (6-5-4-3...). It was all there, but it felt like the "rifle bolt" everyone raves about. Reverse gate is where it belongs. I can't wait to take the LONG way to work tomorrow, so I can try this thing out properly.

RP, you missed a trick. When I received this so-called "blemished" Short Shifter this afternoon, the first thing I did was rip open the box and examine it. Satin finish, pro-grade look everywhere, even to the set-screw indent at the bottom of the **** threads. I'd been wondering what this "blemish" was, and was still looking when I started removing the stock shift lever and found there was no set screw.

Everyone else has perfect-grade AFEs. I have one of two "mis-strikes" that are known to exist. If these were coins, I'd have a collector's item. I'm good.

^ Awesome, the other "blemished" short shifter owner.

I just installed mine today. The missing 2 threads were only partially missing, my mazdaspeed carbon fiber shift **** fit perfectly!!

Richard Paul is a genius. The short shifter is a great investment. The shift slots are perfect and just feels so damn crisp. The car is so much easier to drive (As impossible as that seems). RX8's should have had this as OEM!

Thanks for your hard work RP!!!

- Rex

It's nice to see that the two "blem" buyers are pleased. However the 8 other people who wanted the same deal but were late are not. I feel bad that I couldn't do anything, they were just late.
I will make a deal just for the month of Aug, not as good as the blems but $25.00 off standard pricing. So it's $244 plus $12.00 S&H.
Further to that if someone bought a shifter since the sale the $25 will be returned to you. The website does not handle this discount so you have to contact me direct or send money to my Paypal account: axcharg@socal.rr.com
I guess you could buy through the website and I'll return the extra 25 bucks.
That's all I can do, I hope it's fair.

Design is right in front of me and I think it's ready for prototyping.
It's alot harder then the S1 but it will be great.
It has to be two peices plus several parts.
We are putting anti-rattle between them and must be carefull not to allow
metal transfer. So it's more involved.

I had put off buying the AFE shifter to put in the pristine '04 I bought 3 years ago because the shifter is pretty expensive. I finally installed one last week and LOVE it. This tightwad really regrets not buying sooner.

I got really stuck during the install trying to get the top rubber boot and the plate out. I couldn't even pry the Delrin ring loose with a big screw driver. As a last resort, I flooded the ring with protectant and the ring and boot slid off immediately.

Being an old fart with a one track mind, it didn't occur to me to put some sheet insulation in from under the ash tray back to the cup holders. This past summer I had a Chap Stick sitting beside the cigarette lighter and the Chap Stik completely melted and ran out.

An after Christmas sale. Hell everyone else does it.
Next week I should be starting production on the S2 units,. therefore I need to finance the first batch. The best way is to sell some stuff on the shelf.
So a $30 discount for S1 shifters on the shelf. I will try to get a button put on the website but if it's not there just PM me and I'll work it out for you.

The S2 is proving a bit harder then the S1 was and we've gone through a couple designs already. The good news is that it will adapt to the Miata 6 speed as well.
They are not exactly the same but close enough so we can make both.

$239 plus S&H of $12 will get it shipped by 2-3 day air.
That's the best price ever!

You do realize that the shifters on sale will be sold long before that.
The price goes back up when the shelf is bare. The new batch will be as before.

I think we can safely take deposits on them now.
The price will be about $10-$15 higher then the S1.
That's due to the extra parts and we include a little puller needed
to install it.

There are pictures posted on the S2 forum but we are in need of the test car.
Our beta tester got lost.
Ya gonna love it.
