Are the shifters that are with Hymee the upgraded ones 2nd batch , were RP altered his shifter ???

I believe that he changed the Delrinpolymer pivot box ??

How can one tell the difference between the 1st and the altered 2nd lot .?

cheers
michael

Yes, they are the upgraded ones. I don't know how to tell the difference b'ween the two ATM, but I can assure you Hymee is getting (or has) the latest and greatest. Emails from Richard confirm this.

Thumbs up Yummy!

I received my short shifter on Wednesday...and installed it within 15 minutes of receiving it. It rocks!!!..I also have a stainless braided clutch cable and this combination makes shifting bullett proof and 100% accurate with no slush..;...whooohoooo!@

L&L you will get to see the difference between the two because gomez has an old one and is getting the replacment part. You will see the only difference is a larger OD.

I installed mine last night. Nice piece of work. Shifts are now much more direct.
I broke the clip taking the panel off the second time (Forgot to screw in the ashtray the first time). Oh well, I'm an idiot.

Shailoche - was the SS clutch line a big improvement?

Seems pretty easy.

I also believe the brake and clutch fluids use the same reservior - so if you plan on doing both, do them at the same time.

Ouch. Well, what can I say, she has good taste. :D

I also forgot to thank Gomez for the nice DIY.
The gears are so close now. It makes me want that lighter flywheel I've been looking at. Does anyone have both? I'd like to see how well the quicker shift action works with one.

Philodox or however he spells it. It's Jon, of the runaway thread fame. He has both. You can ask hoim but he had the flywheel first so might not be able to tell you what you want to know. That is the difference.

I DO. I HAVE THE SR FLYWHEEL AND UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS...THE FLYWHEEL MADE A BIG IMPRESSION ON ME. I IMMEDIAGTELY FELT LIKE THE ENGINE WAS LIGHTER AND SPOOLED UP FASTER. ALTHOUGHT THERE IS NO NET HP GAIN, IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS, ESPECIALLY DOWN LOW.

WENT OUT WITH THE WIFE LAST NIGHT AND SO ENJOYED MY NEW SHORT SHIFTER. SOMEONE DESCRIBED IT AS HAVING A DIRECT RIFLE-LIKE ACTION. THAT IS THE MOST ACURATE DESCRIPTION I HAVE HEARD SO FAR. ITS WONDERFUL! DO BOTH!

I've gotten a few PM's saying they can't find the price in the forum. I thought I did that but it might have been on another thread. It is also funny that this thread has begun to lead again as the other one is shorter?

Anyway, the cost is $249.00 plus $12.00 S&H in the lower 48. Calif customers pay 8.25 tax

They are on the shelf and going fast. I don't think we will allow them to run out. This time I'll start the production run sooner. I can't promise anything though as it is before lunch on Monday and I have sold four already.
