Just curious about how you got his e-mail address? Good searching if you found it on the net

Oh yes and I don't know if it was clear before, but they did not just ripoff designs/ideas from Nolan. I've spoken to smaller companies/shops that import products from Japan and deal with Racing Beat, and from what they've said RB also rips off designs of JDM companies. It's not usually noticeable though considering they are a US company taking designs of JDM companies.

Of course this happens in all aspects of business, so it's arguable of whether or not it matters.

if Nolan says your statements are false will you drop the RB bashing?

if Nolan says something is wrong then he should come on the forum and have a nice long chat with all of us

hardly fair or appropriate to have a balanced discussion/argument/whateveryouwannacallit in a forum sponsored by the company in question

And poor Mr. Koreski is like the mysterious guest that may or may not make an appearance. And may turn the world on end, or restore peace to the once tranquil RX-8Club Community.

We now return you to your scheduled programming of 8rwhp headers (which would be great with an SC), Rotary Performance and TurboXS exhaust sytems...

if they are spewing venon on the forum...those who know a reputable company want to stand up for them so they aren't slandered and possibly affect business and future products

really though the guys who Ddub mentions may just be guys who were fired or who didn't get along with RB or whatever and held a grudge and vented it

for goodness sake the koreshi guy works a tiny technical college in the middle of nowhere...if he was that great ... well you understand

I think you are right - Everyone is entitled to 'opinion' but a few guys here aren't giving an opinion, they are giving an 'attack' against RB.

:-/

some people do gush but most are even handed

for instance

I have the Intake and Ram air and love it

on the otherhand

you couldn't pay me to use their exhaust system just because I PERSONALLY don't like the sound and the tips gold faster but the quality is outstanding regardless

i agree becase their statements are often taken out of context imho. their statement doesnt say "nobody could ever make more power than X" it says we tested the exhausts that were available at the time and didnt get the results the mfgs claim" there was like 3 when they did that. hardly a huge sample. does that mean that no one wil ever see more than what they found. no. im sure there are ways to make larger gains at 8k rpm but they dont look for those gains because they arent about peak hp numbers. blah blah blah - im not going to repeat the same things that have already been said.

Not even sure if Nolan will respond, but if he does we will see what he says. Nolan was a teacher of my friend in his auto technician program and talked to him about his days of being in the "rotary game" and his racing, development, etc. I came in to meet him and use their hydrolic press one day for some things on my 2nd gen rx7 and got to talking to him for a good while.

I doubt Nolan cares enough to come on here also. He quit working with rotaries long ago after they almost bankrupted him as he tried to keep up with Mazda in racing. He was doing fine until Mazda started funding some racers/teams in the circuits he was in, it's quite hard to compete with the kind of budget Mazda gave. After that he quit and hasn't worked with rotaries since. So he most likely will not even care to come on here and have a "chat," and I'm questioning if he will even care to respond to the e-mail but we shall see.

Excuse me but since when did age have anything to do with knowledge? I've been in the rotary game for about 3 years now. Started with my 2nd gen rx7. I've been modifying, tuning, porting/building engines as of recently, providing a tech support on rx7club as well as in my local community, done work on various customer cars in my spare time, etc.

In addition I've talked to a lot of people that work for various rotary/rx7 companies in the US. Some of the information I have has come from them, however I will NOT name any names because I have been sworn to keep their name a secret. They have come out and said similar things they've told me in the past only to have RB try and persue them legally. RB having a larget budget than they do caused them to stop publicizing information they came across.

So let me ask you this. How do you know any more than I? Just because you are older? I assume you are to make a snide remark about age/birthdate as if it is a factory in knowledge, though I haven't checked your profile.

Yep, good job. After I read your post I entered his name into google and found the various listings of him as well. Crafty :D

However I am actually worried about naming him now... Now that you've made it clear how easy it was to find his contact information, he probably wont be happy with me to have many people e-mailing him and questioning him about it. I don't mind you doing it so long as it stays calm and appropriate, but what happens when a bunch of people on this board feel like e-mailing him too? He's not going to enjoy getting flooded with questions to be honest, considering he quit this business long ago. I guess it's too late now, but hopefully people respect his "privacy" I guess you could say, but I can't stop anyone now.

What is your deal? If you claim I have no valid say in any of subjects I've brought up, or seem to think I'm not educated in it, who are you to act as if you are some "expert" in who RB is and what they do? If you've visited them, so what? Visiting a company doesn't mean you know their past or some of the behind the scenes stuff.

Also, Nolan never worked FOR them, he worked WITH the guy that started RB. They were in contact in the mid 70's about techniques, porting, rotor/balancing work, and many other things. This is not WORKING for them, this is working WITH them.

And christ man, this is not the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately we are too populated, it's annoying. We are a suburb of Seattle that got listed as the 3rd or 4th worst city for traffic/congestion from what I recall. And LWTC (Lake Washington Technical College) is regarded as having a very good auto technician program in this state. Many garages, dealerships, etc regard it as a very good program. And once again, he quit the rotary game long ago to settle down and do something simpler and less stressful. So what if he became a professor of automotive technology? How is that bad?

You sure like to act as if you are high and mighty and talk down about people you don't even know.

That's perfectly fine and veyr respectful of you, I appreciate it. I still have to see this guy sometimes and don't need him giving me crap

Once he responds to you, you can PM and talk to me further about it if there is any discrepancy or further information you'd like to talk about. I'm fine with that.
