no AP, unless when i did the dealer recal thing they did something besides a reflash,

dyno dynamics is the type of dyno they run there at swift motorsports,

ok so i see wwhat you guys are saying i really didnt believe the sheets eather, but i really feel dynos dont lie. How many of you dynoed your car when you first go it and then after a couple mods where put on it? When i got the car and brought it to the dealer there was a recal done on it already which i beleave was the engine swap out so it might be a bran new motor when i ran it the first time, the second time i ran it it had the dealer reflash with the newest mods on it. just for ***** and giggles i will be going to a diffrent shop after install the coils and wires to see if there is a diff or whats up

Something seems off about your curve. Your power peak is at ~7300RPM. Absolute numbers aside it looks like your VDI valve is not opening or something is missing. Your final curve should be similar in shape or slope to your baseline regardless of the overall numbers. I would check to see why your power peak is not higher at 8000rpm like the stock line.

Also it seems like either this is Bhp at the flywheel or the dyno is adjusted to read higher. Dynos can be adjusted to read whatever you want. I've had my car on three different dynos and gotten three very different numbers.

Are you showing that dyno's can read wrong with that pic or are you actually pulling 492whp dyno runs?

Check my sig... I am definitely not running 492whp.

The pic was my attempt at sarcasm and meant that dynos can be wrong at times. The only NA RX8 dyno that I have ever seen pull over 220 was TeamRX8.

It's not really a lie. It's just wrong. That might be what the dyno read, but that doesn't mean it was calibrated right. It's like a lot of measuring tools, you have to have it calibrated properly to get proper results. Scales need calibration before you weigh things... in fact, electronic scales calibrate to 0 every time they turn on. Lets say you put 5 pounds on a scale before turning it on. Then you remove that weight and step on the scale.... You're going to be 5 pounds lighter according to the scale, but we all know that is not the case. So it's really not a lie, it's just wrong.

I was going to say the coils could need replacing but there were so many other anomalies with this dyno that I didn't bother .

avanti : I have dynoed my car on a dyno dynamics and got quite a low reading . I was told by the dyno guy that it was known as the "heartbreaker" of dynos .
The fact that yours is so high makes me believe that its calibration is way out of wack . You said they only had it for a few weeks ? Go back to them and tell them the rx8 club does not believe his dyno and get him to recalibrate it and give you another free dyno .

That's gross Hp.

Dyno was not calibrated to run RX8.

Someone is eating your money.

Or for that matter who needs a "real" dyno when everyone has their own butt dyno?

My last butt dyno run recorded my RX8 at 287 BsHP with 203 Bs per lb torque.

you should go back to the dyno and do it again and tell them to do it right this time so we can see what you really have ??
