My lastest Dyno run

For those who have woundered about my sig and if it was true or not her it is. Did both my dyno runs at swift motor sports, the green is the base line i did when i first bought the car. it had only a brola cat back on it nothing els. When i dynoed it the second time i had AEM CAI, super cat high flow cat added on sence then. Once i install the coils i will be dynoing again jut to see where i stand.

avanti - don't take it the wrong way . Most of us in this thread know what the renesis is capable of and your dyno is so far outside of the norm that it just can't be correct .
check out the dyno thread for some other examples and you will see what i'm on about ..

Maybe flywheel hp? Why did you only go to 8300 rpm?

I dont see 212 WTQ?? I see the 228 WHP but the torque curves (more horizontal curves) max just under 170... sure ur not looking at the baseline WHP at 212?

sorry Avanti but I gotta throw out the

I've personally hosted dyno days and put over 50 different RX-8's on different dynos and there is not ONE that has ever broken the 200 whp mark with a simple borla catback.
That tells me your baseline is not accurate.

the rest of the dyno is also way off.
You're dyno'ing up where Charles R. Hill's car dyno'd and his engine is ported, has upgraded ignition, exhaust, AND NITROUS.
sorry man, simply not happening...

My first thought was it was simply a hub dyno. A quick google search and it turns out it is indeed a wheel dyno, hmm... converted to crank?

212 seems to be a little bit low for flywheel though.... but the 228 is very reasonable for it

even still, the gains don't add up.

so a cai adds THAT MUCH whp and tq ALL THE WAY THROUGH the rpms?

no. no it doesn't.

No I 100% agree with you, but he has more than intake done and it is possible that the baseline run is incorrect... 212bhp seems small... overall it is a messed up dyno haha

212 is a BIT more believable, but its really really pushing it with those minor mods.

I still go with the kryptonite theory - look at the green shading on the base run .
