The biggest problem we all have is that you brag about how great your car is (hence the title of this thread), and yet you can't give any particulars about ANYTHING. You post no dyno #s, and now after the hype of today's track run, you show not 1 timeslip.

In the future, I think everyone else would agree that you keep your mouth shut until you actually have something to back up your claim. Until then, close this thread.

But like I said hopefully you will proove me wrong.......

SHOW ME SOMETHING TO MAKE ME BELIEVE IN YOUR "EFFORT"
I Made 15 dyno pulls.. 233 rwhp 239.7rwhp twice
dyno sheets are available... I'll keep racing and bringing results. People I'm pretty good at what I do, I will have better runs is just a matter of time. All the information I have posted is correct. 239.7 whp is correct. I'm here to keep showing the potential the car has..

I think I've been courteous to every single forum member. I have a dyno sheet and who ever wants me to send them an email I will, so they can host it. My horsepower claims are accurate. You talk about bragging? where did I brag? I just stated what I manage to do in the dyno and what eventually I'll do at the track.

I don't want to get into a stupid internet fight but be as respectful to me as I am towards everyone else. Because you do not have the sligthest idea who the **** your talking to. so lets be a little more courteous to each other..

Come on ... let the guy do his thing. What difference does it make if he shows you today or Thursday or next Saturday? It didn't happen for him today ... geez ... get over it. You can't possibly imagine what he's saying is true ... what a sad world we live in ...

He's shown time slips in the past. What makes you so clairvoyant this time around?

It's not like a few days is gonna kill ya. Lighten up ... go check your oil, vacuum your floor mats, before you know it the Judge will be back and show his stuff.

Ive looked around some of the rx7 boards and your name seems to be pretty famous there as well. Im glad to hear that the 8 is starting to pump out some more hp. As for the dyno sheets, you might try some cheap little free hosting like Image shack or something.

When you flat out tell somebody to "shut up" that is disrespectful.. no problem water under the bridge. I understand your point but I ran in the 14's with 188 to 196 rwhp coming of the dyno.. do a search and that dyno sheet was posted. Now I managed to pull 239.7 whp and I surely will run faster. I honestly thought I would do it in my first day at the track with the new power, It did not happened but tomorrow is another day..

I could not get the car from seriously slipping traction all day.. My first run I had 17 psi of air pressure(the same psi I have ran the car with latetly and got decent 60 foot marks) but this time the car felt like I was slidding on ice. On that run the engine just kept bouncing off the rev limiter and loosing valuable time. I just aborted the run(every run needs to be flawless for a perfect E.T.) My second run I lower the tire pressure to 12psi.. and got the same scenario as my first run. I was a bit frustrated since I punished the car with some awesome burnouts and the car felt like it was going to hook up. I go for my third and final pass for the day and I lower my tire pressure to 9 psi and do the craziest burnout I have done with my Rx8 up to date, and the same fuc@#%$# thing car felt like it was driving on ice and bouncing off the rev limiter.

With this new power I'm going to have to change to Dot drag radial street tires to get the car to hook up hard and go for a better run. I'll be purchasing tires during the week and test & tune on sunday again.. Basically same car different animal. learning curve all over..
Thanks for posting your results. I have never drag raced a car and have a couple of question, if you don't mind.

1. Don't slicks offer the most traction in dry weather? If so, then why didn't you leave the bald tires on back?

2. "got decent 60 foot marks" does this mean good 60 ft times or 60 foot long black marks on pavement? Remember, I really am new to racing if this is a stupid Q.

3. "On that run the engine just kept bouncing off the rev limiter and loosing valuable time". Does this mean that in first you kept spinning and could never hook up with the pavement. Why not back off a hair, let the tires hook up, and then refloor it. What do 300 whp cars do? There are tons of them.

4. "I go for my third and final pass for the day and I lower my tire pressure to 9 psi and do the craziest burnout I have done with my Rx8 up to date, and the same fuc@#%$# thing car felt like it was driving on ice and bouncing off the rev limiter. " So the lowest pressure yet, (and my guess would be these tires are SOOOO hot that 9 psi is really 2-3 cold psi) and the craziest burnout ever??? Please elaborate.

I just don't get all the problems with a 240 whp car. That's really not that much for a dragster. And believe me, I'm just trying to understand, I'm not bashing. I'm new to racing and want to improve faster. I am improving. My first autox, I was dead last and about 17% behind the class leader. I was dead last for 3-4 more races. Then I was second from last for a few races. The last couple of races I was several places from last and about 8% behind the class leader. This is the first time I broke the 10 % barrier. Can't wait til next Sunday when I race again. But Autox is totally different from drag. That said, any drag help will help I think.

So your tires are 23 PSI below the recommended pressure -- 32. Too bad Icant do that to my tires and then take the car onto the street

Slicks and bald tires aren't the same thing. My understanding (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) is that the rubber on street tires - when worn down to the bone - is more of a harder compound than the tread area. Also, most performance tires use a rubber/silica compound on the outer tread to make them stickier. Once you get them worn down, you've depleted this sticky compund. Racing slicks, on the other hand, are slick, yet have a nice sticky compound to grip the pavement. If you take a look at bridgestone's or michelin's website and select a tire, you should be able to see a diagram of the tire construction showing the different tread compounds.

This is all fun and amusing, but with enough work you can take any cay and make it faster then it is stock. Once you start changing/modifying things on a car, it is not stock anymore, so the 239whp you are putting out is from a modified rx8 designed for one purpose, and that is to FLY. Use your time better and build a 239whp smog legal daily driver rx8 that's naturally aspirated, and as reliable as a stock rx8. I don't understand how people are viewing this as a possible future for the rx8, when all he's doing is taking one car and making it a track machine. That's not an every day car. You can't drive down the road with 12psi in each tire, pick up your kids, take it to work, and have a warranty if you do what ITO is doing. He's literally beating the hell out of an rx8, constantly replacing parts, and doing this for his own fun, not for the future of rx8. Why pressure him for proof. This is all for fun, and really doesn't have much bearing for any rx8 owners who think they can get 239whp out of a car they can use every day, without putting some sort of forced induction on it. Stop disbelieving his numbers, but start believing, this is not the rx8 we all know. It's becoming a pure track machine, that has no other function but to FLY. And for GOD'S SAKE ITO, STOP CALLING THIS CAR STOCK. That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Just admit the truth that you are disecting this car and transforming it into something that is not realistic for people on here.

I joined up here after the "Judge" stopped posting with any regularity. But I have read several past posts and know he is a respected poster. As for why he's not poting all the details, I'd just review this old thread. as one possible reason. I just hope he can find a medium to share his deatails when the time is right.

Personal Message? Create a new username that isn't associated with Judge Ito then post to the live forum? E-mail from a new hotmail account? Geocities account? E-mail me the directions/information, and I'll make a website for it? Conference call? Snailmail? Encrypted post? Morris code? Wait until his warranty runs out?

Judge Ito is a very good rotary guy. He knows his stuff and backs it up. I do respect him for his past and current efforts.

However, I hate secrets. This isn't a formula 1 race team or a top secret military project. It's an RX-8. Pure and simple if the car is completely stock, it isn't putting down those numbers. I won't even believe a dyno chart if it is still insisted it is stock. If there is ANYTHING at all changed to give it more power than it came with, it isn't stock. Period. I don't deny the fact that Ito has found a way to get those numbers but I am absolutely positvely sure that the car is not 100% pure untouched bone stock. There is no ecu mods, no intake, and no exhaust. That leaves us with a "stock" engine but with added help somewhere. Logic tells me nitrous since technically he hasn't changed anything on the car and there is no boost. Just an added line to all stock parts. That I will believe. However it is a mod and therefore it isn't stock anymore.

If you are going to keep something secret, don't tell anybody anything at all including "teasers". It's all or nothing.
